Do you like the safe?
The BS ConsoleVault is somewhat flimsier than I'd like. It would not take a huge effort to pry off the locking mechanism from the lid - which would be much easier than yanking the whole safe out of the console. It certainly feels safer than relying on a locking plastic glove box. Even a safe that bolts to your seat can be removed with enough time and effort. I went with the 3 number combination for ease of access and no reliance on keys. The wheels are a bit stiff to manipulate; hopefully they will break in. There is a small amount of space on top of the safe with the console lid closed - probably enough for a pair of glasses. Just be aware anything on top will slide all around. I'm not sure it is any more secure than a LifePod 2.0 cabled to my seat, but it does integrate well into the vehicle.Let's hear about the safe, it's the one item I always keep looking at. First is it worth it, does it seem secure enough with just a couple screws in the plastic? Easy to get in and out of say if I was rushing? Is there enough space for glasses case on top with the armrest closed? Any reason you chose dial over the key? Sorry I'm being nosey, it's the first time I've seen it on here besides the backseat version for BL

This is the same safe you get from Console Vault (The company that I have used for every safe I have in all my vehicles) just branded by Ford (So if you want to ditch the Ford Emblem you could save directly from Console Vault maybe, I did not look.Let's hear about the safe, it's the one .........
I bought directly from ConsoleVault and it came branded with the Ford emblem. They’re an official partner now. It is cheaper to order direct - especially if you can find a coupon code. This is the same safe you get from Console Vault (The company that I have used for every safe I have in all my vehicles) just branded by Ford (So if you want to ditch the Ford Emblem you could save directly from Console Vault maybe, I did not look.
Can you give us an update on how/if the mud flaps* affect your off road capabilities. I am curious if it hinders it drastically for your "normal" or "average" trail driving.Added fender flares, mud flaps, and 245/65/R17 Falkens with KMC Alpine wheels I love this car. I'm finding new shit this car does every day.
Yes I was surprised. My micro fiber cloth stuck to it. But I’m thinking it was because the cloth was cheap. I tried a different towel and it was much better. The towel became saturated after a bit, had to wring it out but then used a drier towel after to make sure all the wax was buffed out. Beads up and sheets pretty good. I’ll continue with spray on maguiars during wash and rinse off. Should be easier. I just want some good protection before the snow and salt flies. What do you think of the Maguiars? I heard it was harder rubbing that advertised?
