What !? Wait!!! what about that mythical unicorn of a mod ...better know as the engine cover !? Still hoping to grab one soon : )
In about 5 years when you do not care you will be walking along and see one just tossed aside like no one cares. So there is HOPE!

A lot of the suggestions for mods came from Badlands owners. I assume they are more aggressive off roading. With an Outer Banks, unless you're planning on going aggressive off road, some of those lifts and springs won't be needed for driving to work or going shopping.

It depends on what you call a mod but I like these 5 accessories (all OEM):
- Bronco floor liners
- Aeroskin II deflector
- OEM Hitch and Bronco plug
- Bushwacker flares (and 1.25” offset on tires recommended)
- Body side molding/or mud flaps
Where can I get the OEM Hitch and Bronco Plug?

I have 3:
1. Roof cross bars. I got the rhino rack ones which are much lower and better aero than the Ford ones.

2. A cheap easy one I swear by is the stubby antenna replacement from Cravenspeed. It doesn't stick up and interfering with my surf board, plywood and other stuff I put on the roof. The stock one is way to tall. Also being in the center of the rear roof doesn't help!

3. I got the weather tech door protectors for the back so my dog can perch on the sills and stick his head out the rear windows with out destroying the door interiors.

I don't go offroad persay but I go to some pretty secluded places and I have a property that I work on that has a questionable driveway.

For that I have
(1)wheels with all terrains
(2) Lift
(3) Nudgebar with lights (I like it for some of those hilly dark back roads and also lighting up my property)
(4)heavy duty floor liners
(5)cross bars for my kayak and cargo rack.

The Aero II hood protector was not on my list, but I just ordered one from Ford. Used my points! so by the end of 2 weeks ownership I will have added Tires, Hood Protection and a giant 7 inch GPS for navigation.
