Here's a little video where you can hear around the 1900hz range this weird drilling-like sound when I am turning and accelerating. It's louder the more I accelerate which is why I took off like that.

the video doesn't do justice as to how loud it is when it happens but maybe somebody out there would know!

I brought it into the dealership and asked about this along with a squealing pig sound when im backing up and pressing the brakes and they said they couldn't find anything... I was like... yeah okay whatever...

Gonna be honest it sounds like a normal engine although I don’t have headphones and also not in the car… Are you talking about the clicking sound happening or was that something else?it may be the turbo kicking in depending on what you’re hearing.

As far as the brakes go there are unfortunately a good amount of people who are experiencing this as well. Idk if anyone has discovered what it is causing it.

Yeah the videos i was getting just didn’t pick it up very well. It sounds like a dentist drilling (best comparison I can think of, sorry I had a lot of cavities growing up). It’s much louder than you can tell in the video and the frequency it’s at is right around 1900hz…

i just get so discouraged when I bring it in to the dealerships and they know it’s an issue but they have no way to fix it… the reverse pig squealing noise is for sure a recurring issue on this thread so I cant beleive them when they tell me they haven’t heard of anything like that.

Are you sure it's not the fake interior engine noise? If I listen closely I can hear mine kick on and off. It sort of sounds like a fan spinning?

No I’m sure it’s not that. I love that feature though in sport mode! Actually sounds like there’s a little bit of somesome out there.

it’s pretty hard to hear from the video but it may be the air intake whistling or somthing flapping extremely fast during that turning acceleration. It might also be somthing to do with the brakes but I honestly have 0 clue.

I’ll try and get a better video closer to the action. Maybe if I tape my iPhone to my hood and do a super aggressive take off ?

Sounds like possibly a bad wheel bearing.

I had the headphones on when I listened, but could only hear a clicking sound as you made the turn. Nothing that sounded like a dentist drilling, which would have made my neck hair stand; I'm one who has to be knocked out to go to the dentist!

Fake interior engine noise i didn't think the Bronco Sports had that?
Drive around with the radio off and give it some gas. When you get higher in the rev band you can hear it kick on and off as you release the pedal. It's a faint sound so it may depend on your age...

Well there you go then. I won't hear it.

It doesn't specifically mention it for the 1.5, but this alludes to it.

"The soundtrack that accompanies that acceleration won't inspire any hyperbole. This triple kind of moans the way most engines with an odd number of cylinders seem to. And whereas Ford's sound wizards have managed to wrangle some authentic-sounding V-8 music out of the 2.0-liter "EcoBoost" four-cylinder into the cockpit of the top Badlands model, they're unable to convincingly fill in the more distantly spaced power pulses of this three-cylinder with 2021-level wizarding technology."

I don't believe the 1.5L powered cars are equipped with Engine Sound Enhancement.
Unless I'm sitting in the passenger seat after a good bowl of chili, beans, or cabbage.

I'm tone deaf I guess, because I still did not hear the whistle sound in the beginning that you described later in the vid.
