Need to bring mine in for it's 3rd failing water pump (33,000 miles) and I woke up this morning to my A/C not working at all in this Texas summer. Checked coolant level, freon level and hooked up my scanner to make sure it was registering me turning it on. Checked the fuse as well clutch is not engaging. Imagine the compressor took a crap.

At this point I'm growing more and more disappointed. Anyone else have a/c issues? Most of the ones I see are refrigerant leaks, but my levels were perfect.
Water Pump(leaking refrigerant) and S belt just got replaced on mine...80,000 miles we will see how long it last! Very disappointed with Ford! I had my Mustang with over 300,000 miles never needed high cost repairs on it!

this article's theme is that the Bronco Sport will cost more to own than other cars in its class. Recalls don't cost owners, they cost the manufacturer. Are they a hassle? Sure. But we were discussing maintenance problems, not design & manufacturing problems.
Both articles are about how the BS is in the top 5 worst cars out right now. Who cares if your water pump is under warranty, what happens when warranty ends? Then it will cost you not the manufacturer. There's some people on the forum who are on their 3rd pump. There's obvious design and manufacturing problems indicated by a brand new vehicle having such a slew of issues. Both short term and long term. It's sad that the KDM market is offering better vehicles and warranties

That’s true. And there can be a few outliers with recalls like Recall 24S24 (BCM/PCM Calibration) which on the surface seems to be causing more issues but we don’t know how many issues are prevented by 24S24.

I took the article with a grain of salt because of two of the articles statements for recalls on the transmission & suspension bolts - unless the 8F35 transmission has recalls in other Ford models, I did not see any yet for Bronco Sport although I do have concerns about the 8F35 specifications in the 2.0L engine configuration. Regarding the suspension bolts, I remember there were some issues in the early days of manufacturing but the affected number was tiny (don’t know if this was a recall however).
I don't believe there are recalls, but there are previous TSBs for either the transmission or converter in other models. It specifically states shuddering at low speeds, etc. which I have seen many reports of. I also experience it on mine. It currently hasn't been posted yet for the Sport. I do not have the source material, but I saw it posted in the FB group in a thread discussing the transmission.

Actually, I found an article from a ford specific transmission shop that speaks to it and links the TSB.

This is opinion. Based on the obvious errors in the article I don't give this opinion much credence.
Ignorance is bliss, fact is they are both buyer beware articles. glad you're still erect for your sport. We are getting this thread a bit off topic though.

No way you get to 300k miles on the tiny turbo 1.5L unless you put a lot of money in for major repairs.. This isn't a 4unner.

If I'm erect for anything it's facts and logic. I'm not saying these vehicles don't have their share of problems, just that the article linked doesn't make the case to support its headline.

Um yes!! I was talking about my 2007 Mustang GT no major repairs, just maintenance and an alternator! The only reason I dont have it anymore is because someone pulled out in front of me and totaled it. My point in my post was Ford has always been good to me but I'm disappointed with my Bronco.
