you got a good dealership....

this is kind of communication we hope for from Ford and their dealerships. the choice seems rather simple for me. the spare is a component easily added later or replace with a different kind of spare.

FORD...and the dealerships...PLEASE let us know if that is holding up the BS BL with towing package built (or schedule to be built in my case). I want to believe that 99+% of people will say build it without the spare.
I have asked my dealer many times if anything is holding it up so I can make these kind of decisions but alas they say nothing is holding it up.

My OBX has arrived! Picking up on Saturday! 4.5 months from order to delivery.

Any good news lately? I wish I could get an email saying you have a build date…

Do you have a build week scheduled? Rumor is they aren't sending out the build week email anymore, only the build day email (that comes about 2 weeks prior to build.) If you've not been previously scheduled to a week you'll need to contact your dealer now and have them check the order status.

i was wondering the same...does that explains why nobody is hearing their "build week" update for June build dates like many have the previous week after Thursday.

My email came at 11:23 pacific on Friday of the week it was scheduled. I was one of the last of the day to get the email it seemed as many others announced receipt earlier in the morning. I don't recall if anyone announced receiving the emails last week.

I keep forgetting to write it down or bookmark it but there is some Ford website where you can track the order. The one I found through Google requires a VIN (which I sadly do not have yet). When I called today they mentioned the website as the call was finishing and I should have stopped them to get the address written down or entered on the computer.

Don't recall seeing anybody saying they received a Build notification this week.
Have not received anything yet for mine.
And under the old system, when was a VIN supposed to be available : with Build Week Scheduled, or with the Build Day Scheduled?

I chatted with someone at Ford today through the Chat function and asked this question. I didn't get much information. They said a VIN is assigned when it's scheduled. I tried asking about notifications and if it's moving to Build Day Scheduled vs Build Week Scheduled and she said she didn't know when Email notifications get sent out.

VIN is available when it is scheduled to a week. The window sticker is generated when it is scheduled to a day. The VIN is available to the dealer even before the email goes out. I got my build week and VIN from my salesman on Thursday morning the week it was scheduled but didn't get the email until the next day.

Thanks, figured you had the answer at the tip of your brain :)

Just got off phone with Marketing, again, still sitting in Order Processing at #2 - 4 months now?
Used to have a cartoon at my desk with a vulture and something to the effect of "Patience my ***"
Feeling appropriate about now...:lipssealed:

I almost feel guilty that mine got scheduled so fast, but I was very deliberate in not taking things that could be a problem. The only potential holdup I have is the 360+, but as most of the stuck orders have premium I figure mine was selected because it was a Badlands that could be built. Of course there could be dumb thing holding up orders like the mud flaps for Mavericks. The only thing I could have left off to have installed after delivery is the 235s, but I didn't want to deal with an extra set of tires.

Also, one version of that cartoon had a couple of buzzards with one saying "$#%^ patience, I'm killing something."

I'm impressed at everyone's patience. I've only been waiting for two weeks and I'm getting itchy about it. Hopefully due to arrive sometime next week.

I got very very lucky, when I phoned a dealer about availability and someone had just cancelled their order that morning, with the car expected to arrive in three weeks. It's a close enough spec to what I might have ordered, that I've booked first choice to look at the car when it arrives.

We'll go figure.... The week I am not obsessively watching the tracker.... It went into production early!
I was like shrug might as well check since Monday is go day as far as scheduling.... and it was already showing in process! Damn might have truck before month end. Got my Green Tag! Did notice MSRP shows $500 more than what was signed for. But I have all that documented so it's whatever.

Just heard from my dealer today. I was told that there is major commodity constraint with the 2.0L engines. The waiting never ends ?
