I am hoping the same. I figured they were expecting some chips delivered to make the mid July dates and that shipment is delayed from the supplier.with so many slated for october 31 that seems awfully random...I certainly hope for all of you that is just the furthest reach projection with chip availability as a hinge pin.
ours has looked like this the entire time. it has been in production for two weeks but no dates at all.
What did the tracker say for your ETA?Well here it is. The last line must be some sadist joke from FORD.
"Great news! Your 2021 Bronco™ Sport SUV Badlands has been built – which means it won’t be long before you’re able to go off-road and off to places you’ve never been before.
Our current estimate for delivery to {Dealer Name Deleted} is between October 25, 2021 and October 31, 2021.
Undoubtedly, this is an exciting moment for you."
Oh, well I thought it would end this way.
This is exactly where mine hangs when I go to the tracking, albeit a few weeks later on the ordering date. I have a VIN - but nada else besides an ever elusive build date.
The glass is always mostly empty side of me guesses that the chips have been redirected to Bronco. Also as Ford has promised a fall release of the Maverick, Maverick will get chips before we do and it wont be until after the first surge of Mavericks that ours get chips.I am hoping the same. or at least that's the lie I tell myself
It used to N/A for the delivery date before I got the email, now it is 10/31.What did the tracker say for your ETA?
A lot of high option Badlands have Build Weeks in July, Aug, Sept. So are those ppl gonna get date pushes or get built and put in a yard? Will interesting to see how it plays out. I think a lot of rough waters ahead. A lot of waiting a lot of uncertainty. And articles on the web, do not know how accurate, say Ford is impacted the most more then any other manufacturer. The glass is always mostly empty side of me guesses that the chips have been redirected to Bronco. It would be interesting to order a Maverick and see which gets delivered first.
I really, really hope I'm wrong and when the plant reopens we all get chips and they all get put on trains.
this thread mentioned that production on the 2022's is supposed to start on 11/1/21. Now I'm not sure if that's legit but it's curious just the same:with so many slated for october 31 that seems awfully random...I certainly hope for all of you that is just the furthest reach projection with chip availability as a hinge pin.
How can Ford go ahead and build 2022 vehicles when they have thousands of incomplete 2021 builds sitting around? Complete BS (and that doesn't stand for Bronco Sport)this thread mentioned that production on the 2022's is supposed to start on 11/1/21. Has the later build dates have something to do with parts that are on the previous vehicles that never arrived? Such as sun roofs. How can Ford go ahead and build 2022 vehicles when they have thousands of incomplete 2021 builds sitting around? Complete BS (and that doesn't stand for Bronco Sport)
Easy. They run '22s down production line and put on trains. Then they hire contractors to install parts on the ones sitting in the yards. Two diff processes independent of each other. How can Ford go ahead and build 2022 vehicles when they have thousands of incomplete 2021 builds sitting around?
