My dealership tried to appease me by having another salesman send me a copy of the window sticker and the revelation that my BS is in production. I replied and asked if there's a policy against just sending me a screenshot of the VVR so I have all the data instead of telling me things I've known for two weeks. I know they're trying to be helpful. Most people probably don't want to examine the process in granular detail. It's pretty obvious where my kids get their ADHD...
In ORDER TRACK mine says awaiting shipment... And in ford tracker it says in production.. but I know in the owner area my sync software is up to date ... Go check your status again . Things be changing today

It seems fairly obvious the tracker puts the destination in that spot when there's no better data for the departure.

In ORDER TRACK mine says awaiting shipment... And in ford tracker it says in production.. but I know in the owner area my sync software is up to date ... Go check your status again . Things be changing today
Checked, Ford tracker is down for me, ordertrack still has in production, sync updates still unavailable, no modules populated. If my scheduled build day was the 21st and and the 17 day lag is accurate then the 31st for actual build makes sense, or maybe tomorrow. Who the hell knows.

I honestly don't understand why Ford/dealerships are so tight with information. Communication is the key to success in any relationship whether personal, professional, or transactional. Do they want to fail or do they simply not get the concept?

For anyone beyond "in production" on the ordertrack app, did the blend date ever populate on the status?

Well... This is the 3rd vehicle I have ordered from ford... And the other two did not travel by rail.. as far as I know. Since I'm in Michigan.. and there are ford plants all around this area. It was always like order and wait 6-8 weeks and it's at the dealership... Never even knew the details.. I think it's kinda cool to get statuses.. but it is also very very frustrating.. as you know... Seems to make the time go slower ..

Honestly I suspect many think that ordering a car is just the same as it was 40 years ago. The last 20 years though have changed consumer expectations drastically. Really, Amazon has set the standard that companies need to reach for real time information & tracking. I’m just trying to be patient here without having that yet.

I'm mentally back at my first description of the process as being like yelling your desires over the edge of a chasm and hoping the deity in the sulfurous depths is benevolent and responds with something other than laughter. I tend toward the dramatic sometimes. Honestly though, the data exists. Just communicate it.

No.. I don't think it applies to the bronco sport.. I believe it when the frame meets the body... This app was made for F150's .. ours is a unibody design

All the reading I've done make it sound like day the guts go in and the unit moves down the line for final assembly. I was hoping that was a marker to watch for to indicate progress, but it seems to be a data point Ford has abandoned, at least for now and for these models.

I hope Ford is learning from the experience of shifting from a majority dealer stock to a majority retail ordered system. Dealers don't care quite as much about individual units as retail customers do. Ford has to get better at communicating the information to keep customers happy and brand loyal.
