Just saw a Facebook post from an individual who ordered his BL on June 16th and was scheduled today. However, he only got steelies and the CMS - No other packages.

This is pretty concrete evidence that packages like premium/tow/360+ ARE constraints that are holding up production and scheduling.

If people are thinking that commodity constraints aren’t wreaking havoc, they are still in their basement waiting for Covid to be through. It’s been pretty obvious, the more stuff you order, the longer your chance to get built. It’s why Base and Big Bends without any packages are getting built in three months or so. The more electronic type packages you add, the longer it takes and you get in line based on many other factors way beyond your control. The quickest way to built is fewer electronics. Ford wants to build vehicles and ship them. Their MRP schedules units based on materials availability and what can be completed.

You might. I'm just getting really tired. Last week was supposed to be this giant scheduling week and it didn't happen. This week was then supposed to be this giant scheduling week, but it hasn't happened yet this morning and emails generally go out Thurdays before noon EST. Heck, I've got a gut feeling that I'll be moved to a '23.

Did you try to track it on the site. I didn’t get an email but tracked mine yesterday and it said in production and there was a window sticker. I ordered on April 2.

We get limited allotments of certain chips, doesn’t mean fully loaded units don’t ever ship, just fewer than what the demand is and longer than what it should take if there weren’t commodity constraints.

Someone on here ordered the same BS as I did. I really mean the same one, all options were exactly the same. Not fully loaded because no sunroof but for the most part all the other items. They were the same color as well. On top of all that, we also ordered on the same day, or were confirmed on the same day in mid-March. That person got scheduled for the end of May, which I think got pushed into June. Here I sit, waiting to be scheduled.

It would seem that Ford is throwing a 20-sided die to decide who gets scheduled.

I don’t know all the details and certainly can’t explain why you haven’t even been scheduled. I was scheduled within two week or three weeks. Certainly, you are paying more attention to it just as I do for the full size. And yes, there are people that get a fully loaded unit way before mine is scheduled but allocations play a large role on the full size deliveries. According to Ford at the time I ordered mine, the Sport’s were not under allocation control like the full size. Not trying to argue with you but from what I have seen, the more that you have optioned, the longer it takes. The actual build time between an unoptioned Badlands and a fully optioned Badlands is in hours, not weeks or months. To me that speaks to commodity constraints.

What is your dealer telling you? I know you are not the only one waiting on scheduling, but if it’s not parts, not sure why they would hold back from building and shipping a higher dollar unit compared to a lower dollar Base or Big Bend.

I agree that they would want to build higher spec cars if possible. I have read somewhere that dealers are only getting low end models but then you occasionally see someone that buys a higher spec BS from a dealer lot.

The dealer can inquire with the district rep who can push the priority up to the single digits.

This is what I believed true as well and did hold true for me. I wanted just about every chip possible in the thing? Yep, that explains my wait for me. That doesn’t explain every outlier to be sure.

Still I did a few days to the mountains last week where I was surprised to see a couple rental Bronco Sports. Come again? Yep, ones with rental plates. The line has to keep moving so if chips are constrained, easiest to spit out a few base & BB without options even if it’s only to fill a rental fleet order.

Perhaps not surprising for the Maverick folks, it appears that indeed packages with tech & chips are constraints. 360+ & luxury packs. Surprised though to see constraints with normal molded plastic stuff. But then beyond us chip shortages, basic commodities can be hard to come by too.
