After your experience.. I have opted to not contact my dealership yet . U til I absolutely can't get the express train railcar information
I don't know that Ford chat will give that level of information. I haven't contacted them and asked for the railcar number yet. Perhaps today I'll be a pest again.

A friend suggests I keep Hanlon's razor in mind, but I wonder with that shouldn't be the opposite for car dealers.
I think your friend has it about right. Highly likely people at your dealership simply do not know how to pull the particular report so instead they share info from the reports they do know how to access. We lucked out in getting to see the VVR. The manager kept showing us screens and saying "This is all the reports show". Had it not been for another salesman standing there who happened to know how to pull the report we would never have gotten the railcar number.

And at the end of the day, having the railcar was really not that helpful. Searching posts for delivery times in Texas proved to be much more accurate.

So those that shipped last week.. what's your current railcar tracking status.. as mine is still waiting to get in the express train this week .. I know I'll catch up to all of you except the Arizona deliveries... I think Prawn and I have the same delivery schedule... But I don't live near Hinkley...
I won't be asking for a railcar number, just going to wait it out until I get the call :) My guy told me it was in Arizona (shipped Tues, in Arizona Thurs morning) when he gave me the dealership's estimated delivery date. I'm just happy I'm through the building part and it is out of Mexico.

More data is always better. The couple of data points I have for W. Wa deliveries is exactly the same: 20 days. You're likely right that it was inadequate knowledge rather than inadequate character. As for the usefulness of the information, being able to see progress is encouraging since the other option is a 5-6 week void of new data.

Congrats! I think you found 1 of the 3 agents who know how to pull the VVR :crackup:
I got location info and a railcar number from Ford chat. CSX says the car is empty, so it's either a very laggy system or I got bad data.

Pretty sure you want to be checking UP. CSX handles east of the Mississippi.

For reference when I checked our during transit UP called out locations like Nogales, etc. CSX said the railcar was in Alabama......

Seeing these current threads has me worried when you seem to be on the same coast as the plant. I’m in New York and I feel like I’ll be lucky to see this car by the end of the year ?

I’ve called ford since my salesperson has been hard to get in touch with. Originally I was supposed to have a date of 4/27, it came and went, I called Ford and they gave me two dates for the same week one was 5/30 and the other 6/1. When I called this past Friday they said 6/4. ( I don’t get the emails cause my dealership ordering manager messed it up ?).
So far the tracker just says in production. I have no blend date on the window sticker. That’s all I know at this point.
