Congrats, I am so jelly. Mine was built 12/7, shipped 12/10, arrived in Chicago Heights IL 12/21. Order tracker says ETA is 1/6. Train ride of 1,770 miles took 11 days, truck ride of 150 miles 15 days!?
It’s probably sitting in the rail yard waiting for a truck to come get it.

All tucked away nice and neatly for the night. Wish I didn't have to work tomorrow or I'd already be on some kind of road trip.

Happy for you guys! Meanwhile back at the ranch….. can someone post a general idea of the length of wait between when “in production” appears on the tracker, and when the specific date for production appears right under it? (Obviously it’s not been the same for everyone.) Two weeks here with nothing. I’m in the 1166 group…

I’m still confused on how some are built in two days and others stay stuck in production for weeks
In my case, my car was “built” on 6/15/2021. From there it sat on the factory lot until the last chip it needed was installed on 11/11/2021. It continued to sit because of the fuel line recall, which was repaired around 12/3/2021. The status remained “In Production” until a week ago.

It’s mostly just a matter of all the parts being available at the time of manufacturing, and being lucky enough that it ships before a “Stop Ship” is issued at the factory due to recall or something else.

Speaking of recalls, the brake pad issue is now appearing on ETIS and NHTSA, so I may not be able to take delivery for a while ?

Per NHTSA the parts are not anticipated to be available until the second quarter of this year

Yeah, it’s weird because I’ll see people who ordered the same models have one that gets built and one that stays in production. Also weird to see people who ordered later getting built earlier.

Yea and I seen it hit mine also. If that’s the case I can’t wait any longer. They already took my trade in. Can’t go that long without a vehicle. Will just have to get something else

Today is day 33 in production. Nothing in ETA Disposition for chip and nothing like brakes etc. Everyone I have contacted said they have no idea what happened with mine. Something must have gone wrong with the build of mine.

If this keeps going we are just going to bag it and keep what we have as with my luck it will end up a lemon!. Then I will just wait and get one in like 2023 Or 2024

I ordered it because I wanted it,not because I needed it. It is kinda like picking something newly out up in your hand at the store and when the line is 50 people long after a while you just put it down and leave the store and come back some other day :)

Same. If I have to wait until April - June then I’m just going with my original plan of a 4Runner which is both a better car and less wimpy.

At this point I’m willing to bite the bullet and pay more.

Does anyone have experience changing their order once it has been submitted? I don’t like Cactus Gray as much now that I saw it in person on a BS and want to change to Area 51.
I changed my color from Area 51 TO Cactus grey! Just call your sales rep at the Ford dealer you ordered from. They changed it for me. This can only be done pre-schedule though.

Why not order another one? Keep the one that shows up 1st.

My dealer has a "blue sticker" OB "in transit" that has every option checked that was ordered a month before my OB with just TOW Pkg & cargo mat. Both in same "batch" but blue sticker is about 700 units before mine. Mine built 12/23, shipped 12/28. Tracker show blue sticker still in production.
From what you indicate, you were built after brake recall, thinking you have to be held for something (chip) required for one of the electronic packages.

Yeah I know. I was hoping that since it is so close, that it would come sooner. My dad bought a new vehicle from the same dealership and is getting Thurs and I was hoping that I could ride with him.

The thing I don’t understand is that it was on a stop ship because of this brake recall. Then it shipped. Which made me think it was fixed or didn’t have the recall. Now the day before it due to be delivered. The recall hits.

We thought about it. Probably because we do not need it so bad that I am not willing to just bag it for a while and get one down the road. Shoot maybe in 2023 models they will have the paint issue addressed along with coolant/water pump issues, rattling manual cable that everyone disconnexts, rippled door metal, flaking leather seats, etc. That would be good since I am spending over $40K for the vehicle I want. Tweak all the little problems from the initial 2 production lines.

Everyone checked on all the possible hold issues. Not chip as those with chip show in the ETA disposition. All electronic control units show up and checked. Nothing missing there. That means it is something different that what everyone has been seeing.

Even the Ford Pass app no longer sends an error when I try to activate it. Now it has been stuck in activation for over a week. The general delivery estimate in the tracker (left side separate from the pizza tracker line) is now pushed out to February.

I have my BMW M sports car with only 30K on it that I was going to trade in. Wont be hating life driving it for a longer period of time and we have the FJ Cruiser for our 4x4 for everything else!

So based on what happens in next 4 weeks, we may decide to go into holding pattern until 2023 :)
