  1. Water pump known issue under warranty no recall

I believe it's HX7Z-8501-C, but I will double check the paper work once home. 2020-2025 Ford Pump Assembly Water HX7Z-8501-C | Ford OEM Parts Outlet
  2. Water pump known issue under warranty no recall

I read the dealer work and they stated in the work they flushed the system. Also, looks like there was a new Ford part number update to the water pump. I now have a -C rev. Here's to hoping third time is the charm!!
  3. Water pump known issue under warranty no recall

Update...2nd water pump failed at 54k miles! Only lasted 16k! WOWZA!
  4. 50k Mile check in

2022 1.5L, 50k miles. Only issue has been the dreaded water pump around 35k. Other than that, no complaints! Just documenting for future internet lurkers.
  5. Leaks and leaks

Why are you changing out the trans fluid? Are you at 150k miles yet?
  6. Leaks and leaks

Please update back with what they find! I'm willing to accept a little engine sweat, but if it's a known issue I'll have my dealer investigate as well.
  7. Leaks and leaks

During my oil changes I noticed the tiniest bit of oil at the transmission to engine area mount as well like your first picture.
  8. Have you had the 1.5 water pump failure

Had mine done at 38k miles. Dealer flushed the entire system per the TSB and I got the -B level water pump part number. Fingers crossed it's good!
  9. Leaks and leaks

Where is the location of these pictures? If you want to check the water pump, look at the actual weep hole.
  10. Water pump known issue under warranty no recall

Sorry to bump the thread, but I'd like to add some data. 2022 1.5L, 38k miles, had my water pump diagnosed as leaking. Very, very slowly, but leaking. (Thank goodness I got scammed into the extended warranty!) I've been having to barely top off the coolant every oil change since 30k and...
  11. 2022 1.5L oil change question

Thanks guys. It’s most certainly 6.6qts for my motor. Now I’m more worried I only caught 5qts during my change. I found my oil change record from 29k miles and they used 6.6qts. I’ll assume there was a half quart in the filter left and maybe 0.2-0.3qts coating the engine and left in my catch...
  12. 2022 1.5L oil change question

Crap…it’s true guys. I can read my dip stick now. Hopefully I haven’t damaged the engine too badly running under capacity for this many miles. Thanks for the help guys! I wonder how many lay people are driving around 1.3qts low like me due to a manual error.
  13. 2022 1.5L oil change question

I will make sure to check my oil more regularly. I don't really drain my filter, I just keep it tipped up and chuck it. (Yeah, it's not the most ethical...) So, that could have been where the remaining 0.25-0.3qts went. It appears everyone is saying a plastic pan = 6.6qts. Is this your...
  14. 2022 1.5L oil change question

Now I’m slightly worried I’ve been running this thing 1qt short for 35k miles! Ford has done my changes since now. I notice if I use my headlamp to check the oil, I can see oil on the sides of the dip stick, but the oil doesn’t fill the viewing holes so it leads you to believe at first sight...
  15. 2022 1.5L oil change question

Hey guys, Sanity check me. I did my first oil change and the owners manual said 5.3qts of oil. I filled it to 5.3 and was only catching the bottom of the dip stick. I added up to 5.5qt and it went up slightly, but also this dipstick is very hard to read. I measured the oil I caught and it was...
  16. Mileage

About to roll over 30,000 miles on mine. No problems at all. My only complaint is having to switch into sport mode during city driving to avoid engine lug.
  17. Bronco Sport Engine Appearance Cover 1.5 L Ecoboost

I never understood engine covers. Tacky IMO. You got your car! Would you rather have waited another month for the cover supplier to catch up to production?
  18. 4-pin to 4-pin & 7-pin?

You really don't need trailer brakes for 2200lbs... But, if you're serious about it, here's the wiring diagrams. You can buy a kit that utilizes your 4 pin. Then, you just need to run the Auv 12V, Brake, and reverse lights to your battery and brake switch. Also, a brake controller is needed to...
  19. 1.5L Dragon Reliability

Interesting Ford and Lincoln are significantly different considering (I believe) they use the same drivetrains. Something seems fishy with that graph.
  20. 1.5L Dragon Reliability

What makes you say that? Are there known major components of this engine that fail pre-200k? I'm assuming 150k+ you'd begin to worry about the transmission, timing belt, and turbo. All replaceable with a fat wallet and a repair manual.
