Upset over missing engine cover!

There is enough dust on our 1.5 engine cover to say its just not for looks . I will wipe down the engine compartment this weekend . I keep my 6.2 Super duty clean as the outside .

Exactly! It is a minimum $64 cover depending on who you buy it from. It is supposed to be there.

It requires at least 4 seperate parts, the cover, insulator and 2 different mounting studs.

I took delivery yesterday of my BS BB and the engine cover is installed. Mine was built on 5/25/21 for reference.

I'm sure Ford's lawyers included the appropriate fine print in your purchase agreement to cover any changes in unpublished standard equipment. I just leafed through the full sales brochure and not one photo of the engine compartment. Have not checked the Ford build website but suspect the same.
That said you might be able to guilt someone into a cover. I'm sure my dealer would just to keep our long $$$$ history intact.

I have to believe it was missed in the build process which does suck. I'm sure with enough pressure they can make it right.

I realized mine didnt have one either. Im not worried about it. I generally take them off and throw them in the garage because they get in the way of daoing any work.

I received mine last night and I checked even in the rain to see if it was there. It was not so I guess they are making them without the covers. I’d much rather have my BS without a cover then have my BS sitting somewhere waiting for one.

Anyone know the part number or proper description for this thing? I tried every name I could think of on fordparts.com and couldn’t come up with anything.
Once you know the number, searching on fordparts.com using your vin number also will tell you if the part is correct for your vehicle or at least it’s trim level. That’s how I found out that the hood “insulator” fit all BS but was not correct for my BB.
Might be a clue as to whether they’ve eliminated the cover for the trim level or just run short on afew vehicles.

I have several calls and texts into my dealership. So far the only information they have given me is that they have other BS's with missing covers...If i don't get answers soon I'm going to call Ford. When I ordered my BS they were shipping with engine covers...

So when your dealership told you they had other Broncos come in with the same issue did they tell you they were going to order you the missing cover?

Also, some Ford parts sites say that cover "does not fit your vehicle". They might not be up to date yet.

Yep. It should be in vehicles being delivered. The order status page shows 1.5L engine with a cover, prior vehicle reviews and vehicles received by BS customers have had a cover in place, when I took one out for a test drive back in February when I placed my order there was one in place, there is a parts catalog/number/fit and description for that cover assembly. In my opinion, FMC owes BS owners the proper cover parts IF they get a vehicle without them. That cover help keeps quite a bit of the water spray, salt, dirt, and dust from settling all over the top of the engine, brackets and wiring connectors
