Waiting on a tow truck so I thought I thought I would post. As we got on the highway I thought I had run something over. Turns out it has part of our serpentine belt (found out its called a V belt) exiting the engine compartment. Of course we begin overhearing so I pulled off the highway. So here we sit with just over 2000 miles on the odometer broken down. Anybody else have this happen or am I just that special?
Update- The dealer took a look at the BS and the water pump locked up, that's what destroyed the V belt. The ETA for a new pump is the end of January beginning of February. My wife and I love the BS OB very much. She looks like she swallowed a coat hanger every time she drives it. We ordered it in March and received it in September (198 day wait). Now she will have to wait 30-40 days for the dealer to get it fixed? As much as I love the BS this deal is starting to become BS. I would call Ford customer service but after my attempt to get my missing front mud flaps I will not waste my time.
1/14/2022 Update-
Got a surprise call from Ford that my wife's bronco was ready for pick up today. They were surprised as I was our was the water pump had arrived so quickly. I guess I need to thank the Ford social media team the help with the part. When we took delivery of the BS in September it always had a faint tick when the engine was running. Well its gone now so guess the water pump was bad from day one.
