True but for 90% Highway driving do you think the Badlands is really needed and worth the extra cost?
The cost difference buys you a better drivetrain.
It cruises effortlessly on the highway or in mountain passes and never seems to lack power. It also comes with features that owners of 1.5's wish they had or want to add. It also has more offroad capability if needed or not and can tow more if required.
Using this board as an example, the 1.5"s seem to have more issues (water pumps, RDU's) not to say the 2.0's are without issue, my Badlands had electrical issues caused by the battery, others have had the same.
Some here have gone from a 1.5 to a 2.0 and are happy they did, I have not seen a post where someone went from a 2.0 to 1.5 model.
If the OP is really interested in purchasing a Sport they should weigh the pros and con's of the various trim levels and read some owners experiences and then be able to choose what the best fit will be.

Yes, but can you make changes to the menu and what comes on the burger like the Bronco Sport?

I too would really like to know which version the OP chose.

you can get all of that “equipment” in the 1.5 now :)

also why would you anyone choose to buy the new one, the 2.0 comes with a super expensive particle filter that just adds headache…

also keep in mind, most BS are 1.5, in fact 80% of the sale mix…in the used market the BL and OB go for about the same price, so it’s a losing proposition in my ways…

anyone buying a BL in 2025 should pause and immediately consider the real Bronco

Yes you can, haha animal style burger or fries, grilled onions, cheese fries, they'll even make you a grilled cheese sandwich.

This is why I jumped on the 24 badlands. def has issues on diesels still, no reason to add something like that to a gas vehicle. Plus I don't really like the look of the 25 with the bumper and fog light face-lift. But looking forward to see what people do with them.

Unless the OP chooses a 2025 BS model there isn't a particulate filter, also if it's not a 2025 you cannot get as options what the 2.0 offers standard.
Agreed, the 1.5 models out sell the 2.0 models, most people shop with their wallet or purse in mind unless looking for specific standard equipment and drivetrain.
In the new (2024) and used market there is a crossover point in price between the OB and Badlands, a highly optioned OB and a low option Badlands are very close in price, personally I'd rather have the drivetrain rather than some added creature comforts.
Also agreed, if the pricing for the 2025 Badlands Sasquatch is close to 50k which it looks to be, I would consider the full size Bronco as well though a number of people want their vehicle to fit in the garage and that's where the Sport comes in.

Not saying the Drivetrain isn't better but is it $8,595.00 better to spend over the Big Bend if you're driving 90% Highway and 10% Dirt Roads? IMO it would be a waste of money but it's his money!!

Do we have any actual data to suggest these devices are a "headache?" What exactly do you mean by a "headache?" No question there's a reduction in power, but I assume you mean more maintenance and cost. According to the owner's manual excerpts I've read they pretty much maintain themselves. Sure, anything can malfunction, but these seem like dead-simple devices. If they are prone to malfunction and need frequent repair/replacement shouldn't there be some data?

Higher acquisition and operating costs are the main reason most people opt for the Bronco Sport over the Bronco. The same is true between the different trims available for the Bronco Sport. When priorities among individuals differ, the choices others make often seem strange. More choices to meet differing priorities is always a good thing. I choose to celebrate the choices.
