Trail Control noisy or quiet ? Why the difference ?

While at the Bronco off Roadeo in Moab the trail guide had us try out Trail Control and warned us ahead of time it would not sound good, but that the way the system behaves. Sure enough it sounded awful, like gears grinding. My Badlads on the other had is completely silent with Trail Control engaged. Mine was build in June 2022. Was it a running improvement made to the system, or the fact I have Copilot 360 +?

I can't answer your question as to why, but I can say that I recently came back from the Off Rodeo in Texas, and we only used Trail Control once to go down a steep hill. The Badlands version I drove didn't have Copilot 360+, and it didn't make any noise that I thought was odd or unusual. The only thing I recall was the sound of the ABS brakes going off, which I would expect.

Maybe they removed the gear oil since usually those that post about noisy trail control later say gear oil was needed ?

I don't think is has anything to do with Copilot 360+. It's likely due to the type of terrain you were on. When we used trail control during the Off-Rodeo we were going downhill, and I could hear the ABS chattering. I turned it on going uphill and the noise was gone. Try using yours on a steep downhill and I bet you'll hear the same noise.
