I have been hearing a fluttering sound underneath the car, so I crawled under for a look. I’ve done a couple of off-road excursions so far, don’t remember when it might have happened but now there’s a hole in the fiber underbody liner. I’d consider just pulling the whole thing off, but it does probably help a lot with keeping the cabin quiet. There appears to be a skid plate under the fiber that did its job.

I’m inclined to try to repair the fiber, not sure how that would work, maybe it needs to be sown? I’m sure duct tape won’t stick to this stuff.

It also looks like the hole in the skidplate took a small dirt sample.

I decided to carefully cut the tears that happened to me when I went off road. Certainly, I am unimpressed by that fabric liner.

I believe it's for sound deadening; should of put it under the skid plates IMO

Was thinking same thing. Why are these not under the skid plates? Duct tape might work. Doesnt it stick everything? Hell I have seen people holding their cars together with those things!

:) Funnily enough, I tried duct tape to begin with. It did not stick and looked funny to boot. Not enough stickiness to hold the fabric together especially after it got torn and bent.

I have some of that thin gray carpet from HD, I bet I can slide it between the metal and the liner with some Gorilla Glue, and hold it together with a jack while the glue cures.

Good pictures of some weird underbelly material for a vehicle.
Possible suggestion for future issues...
Might try just using some 3M Adhesive spray. Shoot a layer on both sides wait 30 seconds and press.

Super Glue Grasshopper,
Super Glue…
This might be the way.
At’s why I don’t do recreational off road. The lower models don’t have the proper underbellies for horsing around in the rough stuff…..
LoL Horsing around~~~~~ did anybody catch that ?
Sorry I just had to do it:.P

Try some Flex Tape - it supposedly sticks to anything and is also black in color.

I have torn mine every single time I have gone to the Northwest OHV park in Bridgeport Tx. Most of the time I have no idea that I have torn it until I get out (aka easy to tear). I have taken it off and hand sewn it with kevlar thread or machine sewn with nylon thread. It is starting to look like a quilt.

Those are character stitches. Got a few of those myself over the years.
