I have been hearing a fluttering sound underneath the car, so I crawled under for a look. I’ve done a couple of off-road excursions so far, don’t remember when it might have happened but now there’s a hole in the fiber underbody liner. I’d consider just pulling the whole thing off, but it does probably help a lot with keeping the cabin quiet. There appears to be a skid plate under the fiber that did its job.
I’m inclined to try to repair the fiber, not sure how that would work, maybe it needs to be sown? I’m sure duct tape won’t stick to this stuff.
It also looks like the hole in the skidplate took a small dirt sample.
