My fiancé and I drove a bs base model today. Well, she was the only one who drove. When asked how she liked it, she said “I do like the way it drives, but I did notice a difference in steering between my car (2010 Ford Edge).” She said she is able to leave hand “lightly” on the wheel of her edge and able to control the vehicle. She said the Bronco seems to need her to hold on more, and compared it somewhat to the way my Jeep Wrangler drives. She did say it was not as bad as the Jeep (it is lifted with 37” tires :)

I am curious if any of you have similar experiences with the steering. Like I mentioned, I did not drive it, so I am trying to determine if this had something to do with other factors (tire pressure, driving mode etc.).

Sounds like incorrect tire pressure. The tires need to be stiffer during shipment so the straps stay tighter.
Mine handled poorly on the test drive.
I checked at home when the tires were cold. 38 psi in one, 35 in another,
37 in another, 34 in the last.
I set them to 33 per the door sticker.
All was well....
BUT this is not the Edge.
This is a small SUV up on big tires with good ground clearance. So it will not handle like the larger more stable wheel base Edge.
These Sports are the size of the Escape but sit higher.
Both hands on the wheel is the smarter thing to do, always.

I've driven a FE and a BL and prefered the steering feel over the wife's 2020 Escape.

I test drove a couple that were new arrivals and they both had more than 40psi in the tires. One had a tire at 47psi.

I kinda figure that. Thanks for the info/reply.
