Update 10/2/2024, Ford provided more details about what issues the software only CSP 24B47 fixes - see this post:

https://www.broncosportforum.com/forum/threads/there’s-a-good-chance-your-ford-needs-a-sync-update-customer-satisfaction-program-24b47.12226/post-203698

Customer Satisfaction Program (CSP) 24B47 announced 7/22/2024 to update the APIM at no cost to the owner. Also known as SSM 52704.

This is NOT an Over The Air update.

The CSP lists all of the impacted vehicles including ’21-ā€˜24 Bronco Sports build dates March 13, 2020 through June 5, 2024. The US population of all of the affected vehicles is 383,085.

Ford is aware of the issues owners are having with Sync:
Have you have experienced any issues with your center display? If so this CSP may solve the issues. Issues include:
1. Display intermittently blacks out.

Description: In all the affected vehicles, due to an error in the SYNC software, you may experience SYNC system instability concerns and/or a failure to preserve certain settings across ignition cycles. This may result in a black infotainment screen that does not affect rear view camera, incorrect language setting, erased or unsaved radio presets, and potential inability to perform software updates.

This update takes roughly 30 minutes, but expect a couple hours as this is a software update. I think it’s a configuration change to the APIM (software only update).

I do not know if this CSP is the same as the SYNC 3, Software Version: 3.4 Build 23188 PRODUCT update. The CSP is not an Over The Air update so likely differs from the 23188 update.

Have not yet found the full description for this CSP but will post when available.

Your link is for 22B48 which is a different but not applicable item. My post is for 24B47 (not 24B48 either).

I updated the post. See Post #1 updates made just now.

Does this have to be done at dealership, or OTA?

I'm assuming the dealership........

I was having instability issues with my sync along with not saving settings. Also could not get Sync to update over my Wifi (wouldn't save wifi info) So while the Sport was in for the recall they did this CSP. So far it has solved all the issues I was having

Do you have the dealership work order handy and can post what it says for the CSP work? Are there any details as to what software version was installed or any other details? (Just curious as to the specific software version etc.)

Also … can you please locate your Sync 3.4 Build Version (instructions follow) and please post what Sync version is now installed on your vehicle…

To find your Sync 3.4 Build Version (do not scan for updates):
Select SETTINGS tab, then
Select GENERAL tab, then
Select ABOUT SYNC tab
It will show the Build Version (latest known version is 23188 Product).

Build version is 23188. Unfortunately I don't have the work order. The dealership was operating in manual mode. Their systems were shut down from the hack. They didn't even know who had appointments. I showed up and they were in a state of mass confusion. Everything was by pen and paper. Mine was easy, no parts, just software updates which they could do. So thanks for the reminder, they were suppose to email me the paperwork when their systems came back online. After several days of systems being down, guess they forgot. Oh, the tech knew about the CSP, so based on my discription he just went forward with the update.

Thanks and if you do get the paperwork and if it provides any details about the actual fix or the software version for Customer Satisfaction Program 24B47 please let us know. (And while you are on Sync 23188 now, we don’t know what Sync version that was installed just prior to the CSP)

To late after having lots of problems and all we could get was a " We don't know what's wrong with it" we traded our BS BL for a 2024 Honda Passport. Ford and the dealers lack of communication shows they don't care about their customers. We didn't leave Ford they left us.

I should have an affected model, but this doesn't appear in my FordPass app. I saw a thread about this in the Facebook group yesterday and saw others were reporting a CSP for replacement of injectors. When I look in my app, that is what I am seeing. I wonder if it only shows one at a time?

It must be a result of NHTSA recently saying the recall fix for the potential leaky injectors as insufficient. I had that recall done a few months ago.

From what I read here, Ford will only do one fuel injector change on their dime.

Why are you still on this forum if you no longer have a Bronco Sport?
