Downloaded and ready for install on the drive to work tomorrow. Hopefully I won't brick my vehicle.

I have no noticeable difference in audio or anything else after the update. My display still blacks out for no reason. Xm still constantly spams me that I need to sign up every time I start it. Is there an actual update log

I've done it yesterday. Everything went smoothly except last part - reporting to Ford( error uploading. .XML file) . Got a solution from support.
I don't see any difference so far )))

Mine spun for a little while (10-15 mins.? on a weakish Wi-Fi connection here at work) and finished I guess, reporting "up to date" as of the correct, current date and time, at Sync 3 version 3.4 build 21194. But mine's a 2021 BS BL-BL built 12/15/20, I wonder if newer vehicles are using this latest build?

It's not updated. You have the last build installed. I don't believe the function that checks for the current version works very well over WiFi. Before I updated with a USB drive I checked mine over WiFi (sitting in my garage with good signal strength) and it reported up-to-date.

I've never been able to update mine over Wi-Fi.

Same experience here, I'm not up to date, but checking over wifi reports I am up to date.

Just in case you're tired of that, if you remove all of your XM presets from all of the preset station screens (don't know how many you have- it's adjustable in Vehicle Settings), well, tune to another source and then it won't bug you about the XM subscription anymore.

Looks like the update is a bit of a mixed bag. Not sure if I really want to update now at this point if there isn't any notable differences.

Update complete, had the report error, was finally able to see wifi networks and connect, now waiting on the vehicle to report completion.

Well I had to buy a USB stick to update nav maps anyway, so I'll give the USB route a try.

I’ve never even used xm.
During the free trial I used it a couple of times when I was out of cell signal in the Olympic mountains. Turns out trees block satellite signal pretty effectively also.

How did you confirm the update? I keep getting an error when I try to upload the xml file.
