SYNC 3.4 Build 22200 Now Available

I updated mine via USB on Thursday... but obviously I didn't do the whole connect to WiFi thing and then power off the vehicle thing correctly because the website still tells me I need an update.

Strange that something so easy is made so difficult. I can start the car with an app but the car won't sync correctly automatically with the update website.

Well I had to buy a USB stick to update nav maps anyway, so I'll give the USB route a try.

If you dont own a USB stick already you should. Plus they make a GREAT way to backup everything important , (documents, bank statments, wedding alblums ,burried treasure maps, ect) and while not perfect they are SUPER tiny and able to be stashed in teh back of a firesafe easily.

Well to follow up I must say I am 0% impressed with this entire update process.

I updated a week ago via USB... connected to WiFi and shutdown the vehicle. I did the same connect to WiFi again a couple days ago hoping to sync my vehicle with the update site as I was told would happen.

This morning upon entering my VIN to check... I get this.

That is not my VIN and my vehicle is a 2022... not 2021.

When I log into the Ford site and click on my vehicle it tells me I still need a SYNC update... but the vehicle screen shows my version is update to date... and checking from the vehicle shows up to date.

So I guess I'll just have to accept the fact the craptastic update site just won't correctly show my vehicle update status. ? ? ?

On a side note... I checked for a Map update the other day and it told me my vehicle wasn't eligible because it was <2010 model year.

Then I checked this morning and I see this.

I'm downloading the update now. Hopefully my maps will update even though I'm totally expecting the website to continue to tell me I need an update. ??

@Ford Motor Company Please look into updating your update website. It's the worst I've seen. I do love the vehicle though.

Map update via USB was successful. Version updated on vehicle info screen.
