A momentous occasion. I know this isn't technically the longest wait, but it's a milestone for me.

i think i've been the longest wait "Awaiting Shipment" on this thread (total time). However since ive moved to "In transit", I pass the sash to you! ....go ahead and pop the bubbly.

It's nasty. Looks like it's been sitting at a rail yard for 2 months. Just took a drive over to see it before they closed. My salesman promised she'll clean up nice and I can pick it up on Monday.

Thanks, Steve! Can't explain how this happened. My tracker says it's awaiting shipping. Visibility report says it's in Hermosillo. I'll take this stroke of luck and enjoy it.

I just got off the phone with the UP tracker. Not sure what to make of it, but I did hear something about 28th Oct and someplace in CO. It is very hard to get it to recognize the car number by speaking it. The worst part is mine starts with TTG and there are just too many letters that sound like those letters.

If mine could be cleaned up after baking in Mexican summer desert for 6 months yours will be pretty easy to clean up. But open rear door step up look roof over.

Maybe better off anyways. Too much angst I think. I was told 4 months plus or minus 2 weeks by my dealer when I ordered. They were spot on. Took about a month from built to delivery.

YAY! I am so excited for you. You're going to just love it. Mine needs a good wash currently as well, got all nasty from the smoke in the air from the wildfires in WA State.

Yeah, I know your’s and Kris’s situation has kind of sucked. It’s a tough situation for anyone that needs a vehicle like right now. One of the reasons I’ve held on to my Escape just in case!

It was long, but I really shouldn't complain. I bought the Big Bend knowingly as a placeholder and have had the privilege of driving that around during my long wait. I did feel a lot of pressure to keep the mileage low and keep it pristine, so I haven't been driving as much as I'd like. Additionally, with me accepting that NC job offer, I've been putting off pre-approval for a mortgage to keep the car financing as separate as possible on my credit report. There have been some inconveniences and some frustration, but I've had a reliable vehicle.
