Does using this in anyway effect your warranty? Wiil this reset any factory settings, so the dealership would know it was installed even if you remove it to have maintenace performed?

It does not do any of that. It simply remembers what setting you had it on last when the vehicle is shut off. So, if you have autostop disabled via the button on the dash, it will remain off next time you start it. And vice-versa.
