If you are doing any off roading, I would suggest getting a full size spare. That would be on the same wheel and tire you currently use. If you are only doing highway miles, you can get away with a smaller spare but honestly, I don't think it's worth the risk. Plus, it's not much more money. I'd check out discount tire.
