...and put more weight up high affecting roof top load capacity.
Not to mention handling characteristics. The higher the center of gravity the higher the likelihood of a rollover on steep incline while off-roading, or during emergency maneuvering on the road.

I agree on the power lift gate ... I'd also like a front camera like on the Badlands ... ventilated seats would've been a nice addition

The number one thing I'd change, however, is communications from Ford throughout the entire process ... be honest and be accurate ... ignoring or giving wild guesses only frustrates your customers. As I mentioned in my survey, after spending $10 on a pizza at Dominos, I'm told the name of the people who are putting it in the oven, what time it comes out of the oven, and I get a real-time map of the delivery to my house. A vehicle that costs roughly 4,000x as much as that deserves better than any of us are getting. We all understand supply chain issues and we understand that things sometimes don't work out as planned. That said, having an accurate and functioning tracking website should be extremely easy in 2022.
Ya that drove me nuts too and I thought of it the same way. Hopefully it’s something Fords working on considering customers placing orders is becoming more and more common and something they promote.

I would say - Greater towing capacity with the 2.0 engine.
The option of ordering that engine in the BB or OB (you might want to oomph but not the off-road capabilities).
Inner wheel well storage knock-out panels in the trunk (my 08 Mercury Mariner had those - very handy).
Sync 4.
Slight redesign of the power side mirrors: a single knob that chooses which side and also can adjust it. One less step than pressing a button then another directional button.
The fact that whatever song is playing is showing on the radio does not simultaneously show on the dash; there is a delay, which is annoying.
Physical control buttons under the radio for various controls so you don't have to hit Home then the item you want.

Black leather interior and more supportive seats would be the main ones for me.

Cooled seats is the #1 thing.

  • One-touch up and down on driver's window (I've never had a car that didn't have one-touch in both directions, drives me nuts).
  • Shark fin antenna.
  • LED brake/signal/reverse lights.
  • Option for 16" wheels.
  • Wireless Apple CarPlay.
  • Option to disable cornering lights.
  • More towing capacity.
These are all minor nitpicks though. I'm very happy with the vehicle overall.
You can add a shark fin antenna. I put one on my 2017 Escape. Had it painted to match.
