And no, the weld is not giving loose on the ball. I saw that too after I looked at the picture. It's an illusion.

I've used this also. Really helps.

This helps a lot especially with an empty or light trailer and not a lot of tongue weight. Once the tongue of the trailer is weighted , the noise generally goes away.

Also a must for cargo carriers or bike racks that don’t include a means to take out the wiggles.
