Installing RC Front Nudge bar kit on Badlands w tow hooks...!?!?

I bought the Rough Country front nudge bar for my school bus yellow Badlands... THEN i read on their website that it doesnt work with vehicles eqipped with tow hooks. Has anybody install the bar on a vehicle with tow hooks? I talked to a guy at a gas station who's BS had the tow hooks and he had a bar! help please!

It’s been done before and posted on this site. Involves a lot of cutting of the nudge bar bracket making it more of a light holder bracket than a nudge bar. But I’m not sure how many deer that will keep off anyways.

i was trying to find that post for the OP. Good find.

I wish someone would do something around this. A badasses bumper with recovery points or something. It’s kind of a shame to have to loose them or weaken the bar.

I found one that had pictures showing the recovery points still there, but I was skeptical. I chatted then and sure enough…. It’s a delete with theirs too.

Given what the “nudge bars” are attached to, I think all of them are pretty much just a light bar. Also with the attachment being at the bottom of the bar and no other attachment up higher, there just isn’t enough structure to survive much of a nudge.

Definitely more of light holders than truly nudge bars. Look at any truck in Texas. Those are nudge bars.
