Hi... Ordered BS OB 360, tech, tow, Cyber orage... on 12/21, Prod 2/21, rescheduled for 2/28 (so far). St. Petersburg, FL. Trading in my 2015 Jeep Renegade yellow. (Renegade stopped yellow paint job since 2019.). It may be a silly reason but I like yellow/ orange. ?

Welcome! I hope you'll let us know your thoughts on the BS vs the Renegade. Always interesting to hear real world comparisons.

Hi Everyone, I'm Page from Scottsdale, AZ!

I have been lurking here for a little while taking in all the reviews and feedback and loving it. I ordered my Area51/Ebony Badlands in November, and didn't expect it to go into production when they said it would considering all the backlogs, but it now seems like it'll be delivered this month which is pretty exciting. I've been commuting long distances for the last several years so I've been driving a Fusion Hybrid, and I can't wait to get back into a higher clearance vehicle with a shorter commute!

I'm planning on adding the HRG 1.5" lift and adding some bigger tires to optimize its' use for hunting/scouting in tandem with my dad's F150. We can't wait to get it out and see how it handles some of the gnarly roads we usually have to walk because my dad's truck has too long of a wheelbase!

I have to say that I love my Renegade, but it is getting old even though it has only 55k miles. But after the last accident in September (15 mph and not my fault, again; you would think a yellow vehicle would be noticed; attached video.) with $7,770 worth of repair but hard color to match (which it doesn't), I am ready to get another vehicle in yellow. ?
I like a smallish vehicle, so the BS is 18 inches longer; hubby wants me to get a big vehicle, so BS is a compromise.
Differences right off the bat: Renegade V BS
12 gal V 20 gal (a positive)
Front wheel drive V 4 wheel drive (positive)
Small V medium size vehicle
Drive mountain / country roads like a sports car on curves V (will let you know).
Auto and manual transmission V automatic transmission (I didn't know until recently that the 1.5 L engine only is auto transmission; should have ordered BL with 2.0L engine; I use the manual transmission for curves and down hill in lieu of braking.
8 foot kayak completely inside as front passenger seat back lays down forward (even to the dash) and just have a king size sheet to protect interior from dirt V BS front passenger seat doesn't lay down forward much at all. Picking up 45 pound kayak above the head by one's self is hard and can damage paint.

Well, it's ordered and all, so I guess a "hello" is appropriate...

Or "howdy, y'all" (yes, from TX. So there) :)

2.0 is still an 8 sp auto with the paddle shifters. Not really a manual in my mind. Fortunately the brake pedals are not too wide so maybe I won’t be jamming on the brakes when thinking I’m putting in the clutch!

2010 Ford Escape Limited to Bronco Sport
Hey there,

My 2010 Ford Escape which I have loved the last 5 years, and put 70,000 miles on, is approaching 200,000 miles, yet still mechanically sound. However, little parts here and there are starting to go more and more frequently, and the more that fail, the less I want to fix them. While I have done most of the repairs of little stuff over the years and hasn't cost me much, I'm ready for something different.

I love SUV's and grew up in Utah visiting the Moab region including Arches & Canyonlands NP's, so I was drawn to something more utilitarian than my Escape. I even drove an 88' Bronco while I was in high school (and of course drove it around Moab with my family with the top off). I'd been looking at used Cherokees and Grand Cherokees for weeks until my wife suggested getting something brand new since she paid off her own new car about a year ago. I almost immediately thought of the Bronco Sport, thinking I could easily take it camping anywhere, but especially back up to Utah in the future for red-rock trips. The easy and moderate trails around there are really all the difficulty I care to encounter, so the BS/BB will be perfect for me! Plus, it looks much like (but even better than) my 2010 Escape, which is the last boxy-truck style generation of that model. I'm not even interested in the new Escapes because of their exterior styling alone. Anyway, I digress...

That same day my wife suggested something brand new, I built and priced the BS I wanted online after getting an idea of what features they had. The next day, we decided to test drive the 1.5L Big Bend in stock at our local Ford dealership, found that the power and drive-ability of that powertrain was more than sufficient for my needs, even compared to the 3.0 Duratec V6 in my 2010 Escape, while being significantly more fuel efficient than the 3.0! I went ahead and placed the order I made online that day and cannot wait to get my gorgeous Alto Blue Big Bend! Anyway, thanks for reading if you made it here to the end of the post.

Cheers!

That is the words I was looking for - paddle shifters. I really like that option, but unfortunately doesn't come in the 1.5L engine. I will survive, just anxious about supply chain and trucker protesting - Feb 28th is scheduled build date; praying!

Hello everyone!! I just purchased my 2022 Bronco Sport Big Bend in Alto Blue yesterday. I had a white one ordered but the moonroof was delaying it 8-9 months so I decided to jump on this one the dealership had ordered. It has everything I wanted except the moonroof, but hey I can roll the windows down :) Best news is the Bronco Sport is already in Memphis TN waiting on a transfer truck to bring it to the dealership in Nashville, so looks like 2/24-3/1 for delivery. I'm so excited I cannot wait to drive her.

I had originally ordered the Oxford White with a moonroof but was told it would likely be 8-9 months. The dealer had this Alto blue one on order and called me about it since it was already in transit. It had everything I wanted except the moonroof, so I jumped on it.

Good morning. Just picked up my Cyber BL. I traded my 2021 Cyber BL. I took a gamble last Nov because of the high resale of them. My new one arrived last week. I have been a Ford Commercial Salesperson for 42 years and was blown away. My D plan price was $37,555. I got $36,500 for my 2021 with 20K miles for a difference of $1055. I received the $1000 ordering rebate for a net of $55. I also received a commission of $165 for selling the vehicle so i wound up being paid $110 to buy a new vehicle.

My Bronco Sport Outer Banks is reported to be at a rail head as of 2-17-22. I'm essentially trading my 2018 Honda Goldwing motorcycle for it in that I sold the motorcycle and put the money toward the Bronco. I have a YouTube channel at TexasTwoLane dot com where I focused on the motorcycle and often used a 360º camera for very unusual shots. Now, I want to see if I can add a 360º camera mounted in that pocket behind the center screen (or, am I confusing that pocket with the Maverick?) with its lenses just above the center screen. I'll capture all angles, front, back, sides, at all times I'm recording and will be able to switch to view whatever direction I want. I live in Plano, Texas (a bedroom community on the north side of Dallas) and retired now after many years as a freelance network news cameraman (see DonSmith.TV). I began the journey of a new vehicle trying to get a Maverick, but I'm maybe a year and a half away at getting one. So, I looked at the Bronco Sport and decided I would be very happy with the Sport that I can get right now.

Congrats! My BL finally arrived at the dealership in Mystic CT on Monday 2/14 (after sitting idle at the truckers' depot lot up in Massachusetts. Alto blue with the carbonized gray roof. I cannot take delivery yet, though, because ...
