Are you saying you had the windshield repaired or replaced? I have seen in most cases they (insurance) will repair without any charge to you or deductible.Safelite did an OEM repair for us, but it cost us. Most insurance companies won't pay for it no matter how new the vehicle is. Best to do OEM too, as the third party replacement doesn't have all the connections.

Very much ^^this^^.The issue I have with Safelite is they have the most business because they are the cheapest for the insurance, not the best.
Ok, that makes more sense. I’ve never heard where they wouldn’t try to fix it for free first. Replacing is is a whole different story. But I can say, when my Lexus side window was blown out, I was given the option of waiting a month or two for a OEM version or get the Safelite the next day. Now that was during Covid so not normal times.Replaced. It got hit by a rock on the highway. Or insurance would not pay for OEM replacement, so we paid $575.
Did you tell the Tech to remove and do it again correctlyCompleted. Doesn’t look factory installed. Gaps are different around perimeter. Can see paint through little gap between windshield and rubber on pillars. Larger gap at roof line revealing a wavy line adhesive when looking. Installed straight otherwise.
