Rust specks in the paint

I noticed rust specks in the paint all over my liftgate. I took it to the local Ford dealer and the Svc Mgr told me it would cost me to get rid of it as it wasn't covered by warranty. I then pointed out that the Ford Warranty guide states that while it is not covered, Ford policy is to perform the repairs within 12mo/12k miles.(page 11 sec. 3) Ford rep called and and was a parrot for the Svc Mgr. Anyone else have this problem?

Check out this thread, for help. Sounds like iron spots from shipping and may wash off with the right chemicals.

Look up “rail dust”. Will come off with clay bar and or or treatments.
