Enjoy the ride. You will make it your own! As to what others have to say...anyone who doesn't understand the difference between a sport and a bronco...isn't someone to take advice from.
Thanks! In many ways I already made it my own through the order process. I’m not one to add a lot of aftermarket stuff. But I chose the CG roof & ’steelies’ to get as distinctive a look as possible in grayscale. That wa thanks to seeing, I think it was Silver Wolf’s, on here done the same way. So subtly different, & already its own.

So initial first impressions after a long wait as I sit down & enjoy a couple of these on a hot summer night…

Thanks to whoever on the forum told me Ford no longer supplies manual covers. I saved the one out of the explorer to reuse. Not like it didn’t just sit clipped in the glovebox anyways and certainly didn’t devalue the trade any. Though the dealer now prints their own. I haven’t seen that slogan before though, & not totally sure whoever came up with it totally thought it through… ?

So I’m coming out of a 2020 Explorer, so the controls are all Ford and all very similar, but for a few quirks & differences.

1. The instrument cluster screen seems easier to read & understand, it‘s obvious when lane centering & lane keep assist & all those things are turned off/on. The menu screen is clearer. I didn’t expect any differences, but even fonts are subtly different.

2. Oh wow I’m annoyed by the gear dial that keeps turning. I’m used to turning it till it stops for park. And stop it should. It doesn’t. I’ll get used to it I’m sure.

3. I’m missing all the expected parts, including the dash panel underneath the passenger side. I can see how car play people would miss the display on the dials, & I think it looks nice, but I shut car play off & am not willing to do the disassembly required to replace it as one did on here. I plan to study the panel thread & send some details to my sales guy & see if that’s covered. It seems more to me like the engine covers & folding headrests & everything else cut though.

4. I get the whole thread about the lopsided seat cushion. It feels like it a bit, but really honestly I think it’s just the way it’s made. They’re softer seats than you’d think and softer than I recall from my test drive. Not much to hold you in place, the foam certainly isn’t stiff. The seats in teh explorer were I’m sure flatter, firmer, & maybe even wider.

Honestly this thing, for having more than enough comfort & space for the driver, really does drive like the small car that it is. Nimble in city traffic, so easy to drive & park. I’m already thinking about where all I might need to go tomorrow.

Beautiful summer day to visit the dealership and bring a new car home!

It’s been an interesting couple hours so far getting the feel for this vehicle. Most notably which all of the pluses & minuses I’ve read about on here I might agree with or not. After all, I’d only test driven an OB & that was a year ago now, so really I’m in the mode of forming my opinions now of the Bronco Sport.

I’ve got a few things to share in many of the threads here too over the next while, but figured why not start my own thread to have a little fun too. I really feel for those November orders still stuck in the waiting room. But I definitely want to thank you all for your help, insights, and just plain fun in getting to this point over the last months!

22,500 miles now on my Base Model. Drove it home December 2020 before any price increases.
Not a glitch not any problems and, AND I have an engine cover :’P
I tell people I have the five door model with the Twin turbo 4.0 Liter V-6
Cause that’s how I roll ~~~~
I bet you will Enjoy yours as much as I do !

Congrats Mike. I treat my Badlands like a baby. I even get to drive it occasionally. Short story is my wife loves our Bronco Sport and keeps a set of keys in her purse. We also have a Honda CR-V. She doesn’t keep those keys in her purse. Have fun with your new baby.

Ya of course. You’re genuinely one of the most helpful people on here and I’m excited to see your journey with the car.
You’re too kind. But I’m not sue what now there might be for a journey. So many on here are doing such awesome things in building out real rigs! I just needed one size class down from the explorer & the Sport was the most interesting choice I could pick. I usually leave everything just about stock. Still though, every car has a journey even if it’s a lot of miles to interesting places.

For me, I knew I wasn’t going to be the guy to go to the tire shop right away for aftermarket rims & new tires. So I picked what the factory offered. Like Mike pointed out below though, maybe you can find a set of take offs For a reasonable price. Plenty of people choose aftermarket rims & might have a set leftover to sell.
