Carfax notified me but not Ford yet. I just got this when I opened the carfax app.
Build is late may 1.5L ob.

Ford Bronco Sport Recall notice: Fuel Delivery Module line may leak Screenshot_20210815-143942_CARFAX Car Car
If you have the FordPass app you may see it in there before receiving a letter or other contact from your dealer. I proactively contacted mine and appropriate person should be getting back to me tomorrow with how to proceed

Update: here's the official recall notice with full details:

Checked the app and saw a recall notice under the “vehicle” tab of the app. The Fuel Delivery Module (FDM) is being recalled. See attached.

I saw this yesterday , as it also includes 2022:Bronco Sports I wondered how many 2022 Bronco Sports have been produced as many of you wait for your 2021 units?

you have no reason to but trust me, no salable 2022 B Sports have been built yet.

2022s for engineering trials, yes and they are called pilot units, if there are any engineering changes. once trials are completed Ford usually ships these units (if serviceable) to various assembly plants for non highway yard duty. some go on tour to car reviewers, car shows and press events but then back to Ford.
many times over the years I've seen clearly marked next model year units going down the line. their fates vary but none go on sale.

wouldn't surprise me in the least to hear that some 2022 pilot hybrid B Sports have been built.

I just looked up my car on the ETIS website and saw this. I checked maybe a week or two ago and this was not there, it was only missing the chip. I don’t have my Badlands yet, I’m at ETA 10/31

Does anyone know if they have figured out a solution for this recall yet? I was told by someone at the dealer I ordered mine from about the recall.

My dealer rep is pretty good with the communication and I haven’t heard anything yet. I don’t know where rms (above) got the info about parts not being available till oct but I’m gonna go with that till I hear otherwise

I plugged in my VIN at NHTSA, mine's on the recall list. But it's still just sitting in the desert graveyard.
Same here, mine is sitting next to yours in the desert waiting for a chip. There is a possible benefit for us though, by doing a search on any information I can find about the fix I found documents that state its against federal law for the factory to send the vehicle to the dealership without this being fixed first to the tune of a $20k fine per vehicle so I’m sure we will have it fixed before taking delivery and it won’t be like oh your cars here but we are holding it for a month.

The caveat to this is that I am guessing that the priority order to fix this will be first for vehicles that are already on the road and that ours will be last because they are still at the factory and not being driven. I did see someone’s comment that the part availability won’t be until October but I can’t seem to find that info anywhere. Not saying that person is being untruthful, I just don’t know where they got that figure from.

This is from the Ford Authority site

Owners should: wait for communications from Ford, which will begin October 4th, 2021. The Ford reference number for this recall is 21S38.

I’m tired of waiting from Ford, I just want to know if that means the part won’t be available until October or later delaying my vehicle further. I will be coming up on renewing my lease 3x and paying state tax each time due to all of these delays. I’m over it and its costing me money every time something is delayed.

About the fuel delivery module recall- My bronco sport BB broke down last Sunday,Aug 29th. Fortunately, this happened in my driveway. I started it and it stalled right as I attempted to put in in reverse. Started it back up, it ran for about 5 seconds and stalled again. Would not restart, Tried it Monday morning, Started right up, ran for about 10 seconds, and stalled. Would not start. Had it hauled to my dealer. This is exactly what they are describing in the recall, but my dealer did not yet verify that this is my problem, Car sat outside the dealership all week, No one worked on it. They said they are shorthanded. Can't get a rental either- none are available right now. By the way, mine was built in April, so I think they aren't recalling all vehicles that need to be covered. I hope no one has this problem out on the road, because with the electronic rotary shifter your car will be locked in place wherever it breaks down. You can't put it in neutral to push it off the road. Needless to say, I am extremely disappointed with this whole experience. Mine only has 1700 miles on it.

Oof! Sorry to hear and glad you’re safe. The scenario you describe with the electronic shifter is worrisome.
That is a scenario I do not wish to encounter. So were I to have no power, I cannot put it in neutral and push it, at all?

You can't put it in neutral to push it off the road.
Bummer about your whole experience, but I just want to note that you can disengage the transmission by popping the cover off below the steering wheel and pulling the manual park disengage. This is detailed on page 167 for those who RTFM.

Also, people often ask what the M or L button on the shift selector is for. Depending on the trim, it controls the shifting or activates the paddle shifters. It has a second function- If the car is running, there is a procedure, using that button, where you can shut the car off and not have it auto-shift into park and it remains in neutral.

No. The rotary shifter only works when the engine is running. I looked in my owner's manual last night. There is an override procedure to get it into neutral but it sounds complicated.

Yes you are right. I read about the manual park disengage in my owner's manual last night. With this fuel pump issue and recall, I suggest all Bronco sport owners read about this procedure in the owner's manual. i was thinking- what if one of these breaks down on a curve in the road where it can't be seen from a distance by oncoming traffic? And the owner is fumbling with this manual park override? Could have a horrible outcome. I think Ford needs to get their s### together and get these vehicles fixed!
