Hi everyone.

Can anyone tell me if this discoloration is normal? I noticed it this morning.

That amount of discoloration looks reasonable as we’ve seen pics on this forum of far worse.

You can hide the pretty bad soldering job on the two electrical clips with these covers:

Yes, but generally all of it. I’m not sure if any of it is normal. I haven’t seen something like this before.

Mine looks more like what Dude posted.
The white mark kind of looks like a spot where water may have dried if water got in and ran down.
I know some had an issue with the coiled wires getting pinched and the rear window would leak from not sealing properly.

I think this may simply be light surface patina. It needn't have gotten wet; all you need is the oxygen in the air. When O2 molecules in the air come into contact with copper they combine with copper molecules to form a thin film. This will actually serve to protect the metal underneath from corrosion. In other words, I think it's completely normal and expected.

Good point.
Being in high humidity in SC could cause the copper to oxidize faster.

For contrast, here is my 2021 badlands rear defroster. I live in SoCal with a milder drier climate
which may have something to do with the surface patina.

Adam, have you cleaned your rear inside window with something that may have affected the heating element?

Seems like another excuse to get a window tint film added to at least that back window. I have it on all the windows (different light transmission rates).

Hi there, I'd be happy to look into your Bronco concerns on my end. Will you send us a message with your VIN and dealership info? I can look into things on my end.
