Painted Tow Hooks

Painted the front tow hooks, turns out to be a relatively easy job. The large nut at the rear is 30mm so plan ahead (Amazon has good deals). I used self etching primer and then did multiple coats of the white. I like how they now pop visually.

Nice looks good with the blue. Why did you mask off the one portion there instead of just spraying the whole thing?

I taped off the end threads and the top holes (also threaded) to avoid paint buildup creating any interference issues. Probably not required but it’s completely invisible and I didn’t want to have to fight a tight fit.

Looks good. I also saw covers, I think on Amazon, in different colors made of rubber/plastic that looked very nice. Much easier than removing to paint.

There's a powder coating shop down the street from me I've thought of taking them over there. But then I really do like black.

I didn't realize the holes were threaded. I would think they just bolt up

They're factory tow hooks that are equipped on the badlands trim
