Safety recall 24S16 / NHTSA Recall 24V 187

I just received a letter informing me my '23 OBX needs this recall ( 24S16 / NHTSA Recall 24V 187) applied. I have a Steeda strut tower brace, and the deleted factory engine cover installed on my vehicle. Will either of these be impacted by the application of this recall?

Install drain tube to cylinder head and reprogram power train module. (Possible fuel injector crack and fuel leak)

This video shows the installation procedure for an Escape. It probably won't be that much different for the Bronco Sport. I would ask your servicing dealership if they will charge extra to remove those items. If so, then I would simply remove them myself before taking it in for the recall.

Thats a nice engine cover, the letters have white bold definitions on them unlike on my BB. How much did you get that for?

Yeah u would think by 23 it would have been taken
care of. Not so my build was January 6, 23 on a BB and I just got the notice. Will get done on second oil change, no big deal. The upgraded S/W for the PCM will sense low pressure then cut cylinder out, so no fuel goes to it. I don’t know if they had any problems with it happening but safety first.

Have not read anywhere that it will shut down fuel to that injector, only that it will give you a low pressure warning and reduce power.

It's the factory engine cover. I just painted the letters white myself. Go to a craft store and buy a small brush and small bottle of paint and have at it. Just take your time, and it will look fine.
