Does anyone know if it possible to make the windows a one touch up or down setup?

My 01 ford has this on the driver's side. I figure it has to be something done in the programming now.

Hmmm… mine already are one-touch up and down. Must be a BL feature.

I believe a specific module is required to add a load sensor. The load sensor stops window movement if there is an obstruction--like a child's or pet's head.

There are aftermarket options available, but I have no experience with them.
I hadn't even thought of the safety requirements, that tells me that you won't be able to adapt a one touch up at least.

Have you tried the one touch reset already?

If you have disconnected the battery, you must reset the bounce-back memory separately for each window.

Carry out all steps within 30 seconds of starting the sequence.
  1. Close the window.
  2. Press and hold the window control switch until the window is fully open.Keep the switch pressed for a few seconds.
  3. Lift and hold the switch until the window is fully closed.Keep the switch held for a few seconds.
  4. Press and hold the switch until the window is fully open.Keep the switch pressed for a few seconds.
  5. Lift and hold the switch until the window is fully closed.Keep the switch held for a few seconds.
Note: Repeat the procedure if the window does not close when you use one-touch.
Thanks. I’ve tried that several times. Never disconnected the battery. Only my driver’s window has any kind of auto feature. Only auto Down works.

No. It's two different window systems. Only Outerbanks and Badlands get one-touch up and down.

I believe it is only available on the Outer Banks and Badlands models, I sadly do not have it on my big bend.

I understand why a one touch up would require a different setup from the factory. But the one touch down should not, the window would roll down until it reaches the bottom, no different than holding the switch. I understand it is "lazy" to want the one touch option. But so is power steering or electric windows for that matter.

So if I hold the switch it will continuously run down and burn out the motor?

My post was incorrect.

In the Owners Manual (Power Windows Section), there are separate sections for the One-Touch power windows function and for the Bounce-Back power windows function including separate procedures for resetting those functions.

Both functions state (If Equipped)” as not all Ford vehicles have one or both of these functions. For example, my ‘22 Bronco Sport Badlands with Premium Package has the One-Touch power windows function but I don’t know if it has the Bounce-Back power windows function.

The sections of interest are:

One-Touch Down (If Equipped)
One-Touch Up (If Equipped)
Resetting One-Touch Up

Bounce-Back (If Equipped)
Resetting Bounce-Back

See the Owners Manual for the One-Touch and for the Bounce-Back power windows functions.
