Oil change takes place every 5000miles, and so far this setup keeps all the vehicles at home in a good shape.

Well I’m ole school . I did my first oil change at 600 miles. ( I’ve heard that the most wear happens in the first 500 miles or so.) piece of mind I guess. I’ll probably change my oil at 3000 intervals, don’t forget that Motorcraft Oil is only Part Synthetic, it’s not a Full Synthetic Oil. I plan on changing brands from My Motorcraft to Mobile 1. Especially for our 1.5 engine. Then Maybe I can go 5000 intervals.

Had the dealer change oil today.
The manual is vague about when to change, so I went with my usual 3-5000 mile interval.
Badlands had 3450 miles on it and the oil information gizmo said 68 % life remaining , what ever
that means.
Used Pass Points.

I was going by the oil life monitor, which if I followed it, the monitor was estimating the oil change would be at 10k miles.
Ford Quick Lane is having a special which is good until the end of December, I took the Badlands in at 7k, they changed the oil and did all the scheduled maintenance items for $73.00. I got some more Ford Pass points and the service history is updated on Ford Pass as well.

Thanks for the info, I also use Mobil 1. I change the oil on my 2012 Ford Mustang after about 4,000 miles. Oil is an important part of engine performance. Old oil does not last long. Reliable guys from https://davesoilchange.com/oil-for-3-5-ecoboost/ help me with this they advised me best oil for 3.5 ecoboost . You can also buy reliable oil, spark plugs, and all that.

Wow ! the last post was on Jan 2022 concerning oil changes. I bought a 2023 Bronco Sport Big Bend with the 1.5 liter engine about two months ago. I changed the oil at 10200 miles. I put Valvoline synthetic blend oil in the engine. I could not find any information in the owners manual as to when to change the oil. My electronic oil life indicator never warned me of the need to change the oil. I will change the oil more frequently once Winter weather occurs. I will let you know how my engine holds up in the next two years.
I would like to know how all you low mileage oil changers are benefiting from frequent oil changes.

I keep an eye on the engine oil level. I did add oil 3000 miles.

My electronic oil life indicator never warned me of the need to change the oil.
I have a couple of questions:
  1. How long did it take to get to +10K miles on the ODO?
  2. Did you reset the IOLM after you change the oil?
  3. If so, what percentage remaining did the monitor show?
