16x7 +40mm Voxx Monte + 245/70r16 Nokian Outpost nAT. Was going to get DX4 wheels, but the specific ones I was looking at were discontinued so I went with these instead. Went down an inch on the wheel diameter from OEM, there was plenty of space around the rotor and wanted more sidewall for offroading. Lots of research on tire size, had Cooper Discoverer AT3 235/70r17 which are 30in OD, these are now 29.5in OD. These had more aggressive tread while maintaining snow handling. Also 4x 17in FE rims for sale...

Only one issue I see. The possibility of a rock getting wedged between the brake caliper and the rim.

Very possible. But, at the same time, not a very common occurrence. Something I contemplated when I got done with my brake conversion. Lol

I didn't think it was going to happen to me either.....That's why I pointed it out. The other part that sucks when the slushy snow freezes solid and rips that bottom brake line off the Brembo brake calipers. I stared at it and said "There no #%^*&^% way." The brake fluid even ate right through the powder coating on the wheels right down to the metal. I even called up the company that powder coated my wheels and accused them of just painting and clear coating the wheels and not actually powder coating them. I was educated that brake fluid will eat through any type of paint even powder coating.

Yikes, the combining brake line was a point of concern for me, as I’ve never dealt with that before. I’m been lucky enough to have a heated garage, and in the winter I only drive the two blocks to and from work and then the bronco stays toasty. If needed, I take my 06 Dakota out in the winter lol

There was a girl that I went to HS with that clearly knew this, she took a bottle of it and wrote "ASSHOLE" on the hood of her ex-boyfriends car. One car wash later it showed up.

I always knew it would eat paint, But I thought powder coating would stop it, turns out that is NOT the case.

The rock even acted like the brake was applied on just one wheel. It will cut a grove in a aluminum wheel like you put it on a lathe.

I have the same wheels. Just added new tires. BFG trail terrain 245/65r17. I do have a 1.5 lift on it as well. It’s nice to see images on them on another sport. I looked for images before I bought but I wasn’t able to find any
