I do not know for sure so this info is suspect and would need to be verified by someone that knows for sure, here I list 4 factory skid plates:

Bronco Sport Badlands Factory Skid Plates (aka bash plates)

Front (below engine) skid plate, steel
LX61-5D032-BD FY4RD 083 21 Stamped on someone’s Badlands front metal skid plate
Front skid plate: 2.6 mm thick
Front skid plate weight: 26 lbs

Drivers side felt cover protection: "charcoal canister" if hit can cause "evap leak”

Front Passenger side: None (maybe)

Two Fuel tank skid plates, steel: 2.5 mm thick.

Will be happy to verify this. For all other vehicles, when we make our aluminum skid plates we try to offer as many pieces as possible even if there are some factory steel skids there already (you can see our kits all over Google by searching "Rival Skid Plates" etc) . Will see how it goes for Bronco Sport.

Referring to this one. Drivers side on badlands isn’t only felt. Tho…. They left the fuel lines exposed.

Agreed and I did see that. Some of the confusion on Badlands skid plates probably has to do what the factory installed based on parts on hand during a build. Badlands owners report based on their Bronco Sport Badlands which might have different parts installed than other Badlands. What remains unknown to me is what combination of skid plates (and the nearly useless underbody felt) is needed to cover key areas. That includes adding additional skid plates to replace areas covered by felt or where the felt was not installed on Badlands (but is on some of the other Bronco Sport models). Companies like HRG Offroad, HyperHero Offroad, Rally Innovations and Rival 4x4 USA have or announced or talked about various skid plate products for Badlands so it’s more a wait and see what companies will offer for Bronco Sport.

Yeah. Gotcha. I wasn’t clear on what you were saying apparently. I’m tired, long week. And it’s only Wednesday!!!!!!

I really need to get out in the sand this weekend.

I ask this question from a point of curiosity and ignorance

"Ford made their OEM plastic where they have only oil change port."

What is the point of including an oil drain port if you still need to take everything off to access the Oil Filter......? (more of a question to Fords design here - but still)

So far on our test Badlands we have only front thin metal front skid plate and all the rest are just plastic dust guards. Would love to make those sides off our deep stamped aluminum sheet ?

A Badlands with plastic dust guards that seems very odd but then Badlands get built with whatever is on hand I guess.

My 2022 Badlands has the heavy 26lb skid plate under the engine, has a nearly useless felt cover underneath drivers side and behind that felt cover is a metal skid covering the “charcoal canister” and in the rear are (supposed to be) two Fuel tank skid plates, steel: 2.5 mm thick. I don’t think I have a felt cover underneath front passenger side but don’t remember (supposedly most Badlands do not have that felt cover under front passenger side).

Are there any plans for aluminum skid plates to replace the left and right deflectors made from pressed felt? I seem to remember a picture showing some easily damaged parts under those, which seem to be designed for air flow purposes and not any real protection. While I don’t plan to do any serious off roading, there is always road debris that could rip right through those useless pieces of crap.

Ford was taking the felt panels off at the off rodeo because they were getting peeled off on every obstacle and constantly dragging on the ground. And more apt to start tearing them off wheeling and have them get caught on other things, lines, CV, etc. plus the buildup of crap on top of them between the tub. They’re for aero and nothing else. Only one I have on is the evap one because the lines running back. On the badlands you get the oil pan/motor, evap, gas tank skids.
And 1/4” aluminum plate is beefy enough that you don’t need steel plate. Especially on the BS. I ran 1/4” aluminum plate on my taco and that went places I can’t even get my BL into the trail head of. That rival plate is more than enough for any wheeling you might do. Fwiw the OEM badlands front skid can take a beating. I’ve dropped mine on it and only has a little dent. Also aluminum has no upkeep. Just keep beating on it. Rival makes good stuff. Plus you’re kinda asking to be stranded on the other models since the oil pan is the first thing you’re gonna whack. Outside of the front bumper cover it’s the next lowest point

Making that big parts of 1/4 alloy would be quite costly in the end however we will see what we can do. While most of area under those felt covers seem to be just empty space, it maybe makes sense to make a smaller skid plate that will be under the felt eventually covering only what's important

Makes sense to me. By the way, the skid plate arrived today. Fast shipping! Now all I need to do is make an appointment to get it installed. Maybe the local muffler shop would be cheaper than the dealership.
