You cannot remove the filter without taking skid plate off - this product was designed as a supreme under vehicle protection over thin factory plastic.

We are experiencing growing numbers of orders for this Skid Plate, and we believe a big share of those are through the Forum, thank you for your trust.
To make the installation easier and smoother, please be gentle with our special insert nuts with wires - unfortunately the wires can break off...
Making that big parts of 1/4 alloy would be quite costly in the end however we will see what we can do. While most of area under those felt covers seem to be just empty space, it maybe makes sense to make a smaller skid plate that will be under the felt eventually covering only what's important...
So far on our test Badlands we have only front thin metal front skid plate and all the rest are just plastic dust guards. Would love to make those sides off our deep stamped aluminum sheet 🤔
Will be happy to verify this. For all other vehicles, when we make our aluminum skid plates we try to offer as many pieces as possible even if there are some factory steel skids there already (you can see our kits all over Google by searching "Rival Skid Plates" etc) . Will see how it goes for...
We are currently working on the designs this month however with lots of other projects on hands right now it's hard to predict we'd have stock this year.
Agreed, we just followed the way Ford made their OEM plastic where they have only oil change port :). However, we've added that strength of 1/4-in thick aluminum there of course...
No, they are not adjustable, but the very struts were designed individually for this geometry of the hood and its weight. We have added the video to the gallery showing the opening: Product gallery
So far no plans for steel, we have been doing other models in steel for other countries, however aluminum is our main material we use for bumpers, skid plates, roof racks etc.
We are looking for Bronco Sport Badlands owner around Houston TX area to develop our worldwide known (Google search proves it :giggle: ) RIVAL aluminum skid plates.
Once developed and approved, the new products stay on the vehicle as a gift.
