That’s exactly where I went (America’s Tire, which is what Discount Tire is called here). I should have been more insistent and not just accepted the guy punching in the model and typical use to pull up the options.
That's disappointing

Next time try Discount Tire. I think they understand that some buy tires for the looks as well as what they might be used for.
Yes. Discount tire is good.
I cannot tell you how many times, because I am a woman, the tire guys tell me I don’t want these tires or those tires for my jeeps in the past. I’ve ordered them into shops and had to explain that I like the sound of MTs on the pavement and a very aggressive look. It was difficult to go to an AT that is 29” when I was riding on 33 mud terrains. But I did buy
the upgraded Falken Wildpeak AT3W. Next time I will get 245/65r17’s . Not sure what I will get but I want them to be aggressive looking. Maybe Mickey Thompson? Just know I am not going to let some shop tell me what I want.

Reminds me of a story my wife told me. Before we met, she went to her local Toyota dealer to buy a Camry. She'd already done all her research; she knew the trim level, engine, color, etc. that she wanted. She said she waited on the showroom for a salesperson to approach, and when none did she walked over to three men sitting around a desk. She said she wanted to buy a Camry and asked if any of them were interested in helping her. One of them looked at her and asked, "Is your husband or boyfriend with you?" At that point she did an about-face and walked out the door. While researching she had learned USAA (insurance company that caters to military) had a fleet purchase program that members could use for personal purchases. She called them, told them what she was looking for, and they found a car for her at a different nearby dealership. After completing the purchase she drove back to the first dealership and tracked down the idiot who asked about her "husband or boyfriend." She showed him the keys, pointed to her new car and said, "That could've been your sale if weren't such an a$$hole."

Have heard so many horror stories from women. I went into a Subaru dealer once and told them I want a specific combo and the guy said they don’t come like that. I said yes they do and when he came back he had his tail between his legs. Good for your wife!

Doesn’t just happen to women . . . Dealership lost a sale to me one time when they looked at me and decided I couldn’t afford their car ‘cause I didn’t look the part. Paid cash at another dealership. A-holes are just A-holes!

When I bought my Ford Ranger in 2001, I went to a dealer that didn’t have any with the options I wanted, but the salesman tried to convince me I would be happy with one of models they had on the lot. He lost me entirely when he said I really wouldn’t be happy with the Edge package I said I wanted because “women don’t like vinyl flooring, they want carpet.”

that just goes to show they don’t know anything. I am a woman and I don’t like carpet. It’s harder to keep clean. That is why I picked the Badlands. A lot of Jeep owners rip out the carpet and lay down this rubber matting which now Jeep is offering when you order.
