Hey everyone! Just wanted to share my build progress on my BS Badlands (aka Bandit)!

I’m super excited as this month I knocked out two major upgrades:

- Yakima Off-Grid Roof Basket:

I got a steal of a deal on FB, only downside is I was hoping to get the large size but this is a medium. It was listed for $300, brand new still in the box, so couldn’t pass it up, especially being on a tight budget lol. The guy actually got it with his wife’s Bronco when they ordered theirs, and she didn’t like it. Her loss my gain I guess ? I haven’t used it for much so far, I’m hoping I’ll be able to fit my kayak on top still without having to take the whole thing off. If anyone has any tips or suggestions in this, please share!

- BFG A/T K02’s: 245/65R17
Note… I tried to get 245/70R17’s, but they did NOT fit, they rubbed on the wheel well in the front before we even got em down to the ground. (Not sure if that size would fit without a lift or not, but I’d just recommend 245/65R17’s because I’ve seen many posts that they fit perfectly without any lift mods) Thankfully, I got my tires from a friend and we were able to swap them out same-day yesterday, and go back to get them installed in time to hit the beach this morning with my folks and their Jeep! The tires fit perfect, giving Bandit a beefier, more serious look. I think these tires, or any all-terrain tires add credibility to the Bronco Sports, as I feel they’re sometimes underrated by others lol.

I was hoping to try them off-road this weekend, but I may or may not have spent too much money this month on upgrades… so trail updates will come next month ? they did great in the beach and no noticeable difference from the stock Pirelli’s as far as handling. I’ll keep y’all posted on how these effect MPG, typically I was able to get up to 28-30 MPG, so I’m hoping I’ll be able to stay close to 26-28. Anything above what it’s “supposed to be” and I’m happy!

Last thing… having all-terrains on a Bronco Sport definitely has increased my confidence regarding off-roading, plus the tires I had needed to be changed. I’ll share some pics and can’t wait to meet y'all sometime! Next upgrade will be a front leveling kit and/or possibly some wheel spacers.

I’ve heard on other threads that the 235/70 series fits with a 1.5 lift. I plan on doing the HRG 2.5 lift and 245/70s

Maybe that’s what tripped me up was the width. Not sure, but I would love to hear how yours fit with the lift!
