And just like that, after an hour wait, a brand new shinny AGM battery! Under the recall.
So far at 38k, no complaints, outstanding dependable service and top shelf fun.
The love affair continues
Agreed, Mobile Service came out to my house today at the agreed time 3:00pm, and replaced the battery in my driveway in a half hour. Gene Butman Ford, Ypsilanti, Michigan - I have 43,000 miles, 3 years and 2 days.

I haven’t been as fortunate with my local ford dealership, Town Ford. I’ve been trying to schedule an appointment using the ford app to have the recall work I check everyday thru the end of July. It appears according to the app there are no appointments available. I guess I’ll have to call. I’m very curious if I included the 40k service if a date would be available.

Call them so you can reference the exact recall with them and see if they will send the mobile van out to you.

I just picked mine up from the dealer yesterday. The "auto engine turn off" finally works, too. Not sure if that feature is related to the recall. I did experience a pretty rough drive home. From being stopped at a light, then accelerating, it shook like a bucking Bronco. It must have been the computer recalibrating itself. It happened about 4 times. I'm light on the pedal, so it was a big surprise the first, most-jarring event. All is well now. Hopefully I won't have to return for Round 3 of this recall.

That doesn’t sound normal. I’ve had the computer reprogrammed from the recall prior and the new battery, in 2 separate appointments, and never experienced any changes or jarring shaking during acceleration. Maybe someone else has though?
