Here it is.

I will say, having owned both a 3 cyl OB and now a 4 cyl BL: the Badlands definitely has more power. Just in normal day-to-day driving it is quite a difference. Even just driving up my driveway, the 1.5L would 'struggle' if I stopped while parking. Not this badboy.

Who would've thought people (me) would get excited over a 4 cylinder ...?

If this the driveway your 1.5 “struggled” with, there was something wrong with it.

Yup. That’s it. If I stopped momentum it would struggle to move again. Oh well, that 3 cyl is long gone.

Why would you put a hitch on something that could barely make it up your driveway? What could it possibly tow?

Maybe bike rack or luggage platform? Big heavy trailer prob not.

It has 275 tq in a 3600 pound vehicle with a lot of gearing so yeah it pretty awesome. Do you need all that power? Nope but it sure is a lot of fun.

As much time as I had waiting for my order delivery, I opted to stay middle of the road with my BB order. The bigger engine and signature headlights would be nice, but I didn't want the leather seats and there truly is no reason for dual control AC in such a small vehicle. My plan is to wait for the hybrid version in MY24, then upgrade with a trade-in.

*Edit* just saw the story. I guess if your priority is efficiency then it makes sense. Having owned a 2018 Fusion Hybrid, while great on gas (avg 51 mpg), it was a dog. Took forever to get up to speed and I never got into the CVT.
I’d rather stick with the 2L.*

Has it been stated that a hybrid power train is coming in 24?
I mean, it’s totally believable, I just hadn’t seen it anywhere yet.

Badlands is tuff to beat , that 2.0 is pretty quick same engine I had in my Lincoln and same engine that is in my brides 2016 black escape .

To an extent. You can still do some mild off-roading in an Outer Banks. I don't think so in an Escape Titanium.
And you also can’t see over the good of any escape model because it bumps you into the roof. God I hate the newer ones.
Good luck OP, I’m happy with the OB model I have, FOMO and all.
