Hi, again. I've got quite the issue here and was wondering if I can get some help.

I bought brand new, fresh off the truck, Cactus Gray 21 OB with 360+ and OB package. I've since added the OEM tow hitch and BL rear bumper. I pay approximately $510 a month with roughly $3,200 miles.

I've got an opportunity to jump into a used 21 Carbonized Gray BL with BL package, tow package, and 360+ for just $30 more a month.

I know I won't do any serious off-roading, but I NEED the 2.0L motor and feel a bit of 'buyers remorse' over the 1.5. Again, I know I will probably never use it but damn, i typically like to get top of whatever I buy.

Thoughts?
Well I guess each to his own but the primary reason I bought the BL was for the 2.0 engine and I have NO regrets. Actually some of the other features are nice to have as well. And if you keep your foot off the gas the fuel economy is great, IM getting way better than window sticker.

So you don't want to order a new Badlands and wait for it to come in. Instead you want a used one on the lot? Ok so go trade in if that what you want to do...

OMG, what if the engine cover is missing!
And what if rear seat head rest don't fold, or no numbers on heat/ac knobs, or missing hood insulation and missing interior panel under glove box? No wonder he wants a used '21....

Around 7,500k miles. Carfax shows clear. Owner bought Nov 2021 and traded in for big Bronco.
I think you said it had the Premium package and your monthly goes up $30. So badlands model with premium is a good upgrade provided you need the better rear Dana torque vectoring rear end. I would mostly likely want the badlands for the towing so your not pushing the 3 liter? The factory tow I believe has the trailer tow sway as standard and an extra coolant radiator?

SO, the five-hour drive was a bust. The car was quite a bit more beat up then what I was expecting.

I guess I have been spoiled by having a new car I take care of and comparing it to a car from Carmax that the average user had.

It seems like I need to limit my search to new Badlands models.

I'd stick with what you have then. Every month that goes by, you give up more to own a new Sport. Just read that the pushbutton start is getting taken out of new Bronco Sports starting with Big Bends.

Totally taken out? It's already not on the base Big Bend. You have to get the convenience package to get it.

Just following this thread, you definitely sound a lot like me. I’d have a hard time accepting anything very beat up & believe nothing should be beat up with so little use. But it doesn’t take very much time or very many miles to be rode hard & put away wet with some people. Sorry to hear it was a bust, as tempting as the idea might’ve looked driving there. Good luck if you decide to continue your search!

If you NEED the 2.0 engine and do not off road etc why not consider a ford maverick for less money? They come in fwd and awd.

It pays to be patient …
Patient? You said in another post that the only thing your dealer had was the Outer Banks. Sounds like you bought the Outer Banks because you couldn't wait for what you "really" wanted. Not exactly the definition of patience. :)
Because at the time, the only thing my dealer had was the OB. Had he gotten a BL I would've jumped on it...
