Not a fan of the OEM Pirelli Scorpions. They get good gas mileage and a comfy ride. but that’s about all I can say. Mine got replaced at 22k and they still had tread but i had trashed the tires.
I put them on my vehicle in a 235 tire size. I did see a drop 1-2 in the mpg. I’m in California so the gas is expensive. Otherwise I would have put the 245 tire size. The other thing that everyone overlooks is with the larger tire size will the turbo kick in more often and what’s the cost to...
If you get a Maverick then go with the hybrid. If you get a BS I would get the 4 cylinder if you plan to tow or keep it for 10-20 years. I was going to order the Maverick truck but I already have a 2004 Ford F150, so I didn’t need a mini truck. I believe model year 2024, so later this year both...
Just wondering if anyone has mounted an iPhone on the Bronco Sport on the flat surface behind the center screen console? I was considering mounting it on the windshield on the bottom by the driver, but I would prefer the iPhone screen in the center. I like the Ram mount and not sure if the...
I’ll post a thread about my towing. Yes I’ve towed with the badlands. 14 foot trailer. It did the job but not what I would want as my primary tow vehicle on a regular basis or loaded to the max. The trailer is wide.
The other point to make is the OEM tires weigh 25lbs each. Ford speced those tires for improved gas mileage. I wouldn’t see a reason to replace the OEM tires with the same tires. Unless you were getting takeoffs and paying less than $50 a tire. So $100-200 for a set. I was pretty dissatisfied...
You need to rotate the tires every 5-10k miles. I got 22k miles and I was roughly half way through. Get your front aligned if it’s not wearing evenly and check the pressure.
I’m in the low 21-23mpg in city driving Uber in Los Angeles Stop and Go. I’m running 235 tires bf goodrich trail terrains 108t. I lost about 1-2mpg switching to the tires but they are excellent in most respects. Highway I lost im around 25|28mpg at 80mph. If I dropped the speed I’m guessing I...
All those tires seem pretty similar. Some have less rolling resistance, better dry traction or better 3 peak snowflake ability. They are all designed for the CUV-SUV vehicles like Subaru crosstrek, forester and Bronco Sport. Vehicles that are unibody construction. What I have noticed thus far...
Part 2 for the OP. Since the question was between the two sizes and you like the bigger size you should put a 245/65/17 on the truck. Not sure if you need a lift, but I’m guessing would help? Rough Country makes a $500 lift and there is other brands.
I’m in California and gas ⛽️ is $4.50 to $5...
I pretty much understand what the op was after so I’ll try to make this an engine, model agnostic opinion. Going with bigger tires will get less mileage, will give you better traction, and getting All Terrain tires will be stiffer and produce more road noise, less comfort and less gas mileage...
Tire Rack also eliminated the BFG trail terrain from the review where they rated about a dozen tires. The review doesn’t take into account as you said longevity, location, type vehicle, AWD vs FWD and stupidly of the driver. Also it gave a hit for not stopping as fast from 50-0mph on dry...
I just got a BFG Teail Terrain mounted on a wheel. It’s quite a bit heavier by about 10lbs, but the tire feels much more substantial than the poor quality OEM Pirelli Scorpions. I bought the Badlands as a DD and to pull a trailer. So I needed to get the larger 4 cylinder with that in mind. Plus...
I went out with a girl who was a vegan. She didn’t eat meat, poultry, fish, eggs etc. going to dinner with her was terrible. There were a handful of restaurants which I souls choose from. My understanding is the 3 cylinder is what you own. Ok. I got the 4 cylinder so I could drive the vehicle...
