Need advice. Am I getting "screwed"? Should I allow dealership to add this to new badlands I'm about to order?

I did mine the same way. Except I never went to the dealership. And never signed anything until I picked up my OB. Entered my configuration via the Ford site. Dealer contacted me via email. I sent a copy of my DL via email. All communication was via email until the day I picked it up. No dealer markups or add ons. No doc fees. No pressure to buy extended anything, although he did ask.
That's impressive!

From what I've read, your experience was unusual.

Haven't read through the rest of the posts, but you should be good. If you sign and agree to a price, it's pretty much binding. There is always a slight chance they could try and alter the deal on you, but it's pretty rare that dealerships actually do this.

Doc fee is a bit high, but in many of the larger markets it seems dealerships kinda fall in line with each other and have similar fees. You can definitely get below MSRP by exploring alternate markets -- for example I spend most of my time between Denver and Phoenix, but, I've bought two Bronco Sports from Granger Ford in Iowa. It costs me $35 on Frontier to fly from Denver to Des Moines and then I have a boring 10 hour road trip back but no dealerships in Denver or Phoenix or these larger markets will drop below MSRP right now with the production shortages.

There are no pre-payment penalties on new car financing. Not allowable by law. You can always explore financing through your bank, credit union, other sources... Rates are kinda crappy right now though. With inflation ticking up it seems most lenders had taken the initiative to bump their rates in January. We found that out when picking up our Badlands last month. Oh well, like you, I'm just going to pay off early. We bought our '21 Badlands in May of last year with 0.9% financing through Ford Credit. This time around Ford had no special rates, in fact their rates were horrible. Ended up through some random bank I'd never heard of and my own bank, and outside sources I tried didn't come up with anything great either. Hmph...

You might be able to score a bit better rate if you can contribute a down payment. Also inquire about incentives now and then again when you take delivery. Ford's policy is that you qualify for any current incentives at the time of order and any new incentives at the time you take delivery. I believe Ford is still offering the $1000 incentive for custom orders.

I don't doubt what you said, but this is the first I've heard it. Everything I've seen is that 0.9% for 24 or 36 months is still available. In fact I just spoke with the dealer finance guy about it the other day. Here's one listing I came across:
https://www.herbchambers.com/global-incentives-search/2022-Ford-Bronco-Sport-SUV-Offers-US2022FRD63aba3bbe3e2fd3c5f41c18.htm

I've heard the same elsewhere, but what I've seen in print on Ford's site is "either/or" (not both). I'd like to get that confirmed one way or the other before our Badlands arrives.

I was in hurry when I wrote above post. After reading more replies (about piece of paper shown in my above prior post) it seems I should hopefully be OK. If I'm not and they try "stuff" when bronco sport arrives at the lot my Plan B is to buy out my current car I'm leasing.

I'm trying to figure out if it's better I buy-out my current car that I'm leasing anyway and then wait a year to buy the 2023 bronco sport. My current car is mercedes GLA 2020 only has 17,000 miles and I was told to buy it out would be $26,850 (MSRP on it at the start of my lease was $38,500). But I wouldn't buy it out until later this year in November so by then it should be even cheaper to buy it out... not sure what to do o_O I have No idea if I should buy out my current car. I really suck at this!

... so I'm still not sure if I'm going to order the bronco sport for this year...
The buy out price should have been determined up front. It should be fixed.

... I can't believe I didn't notice but yesterday when I was at that dealership he wrote WRONG interest rate for 48 month finance term. He wrote 3.9% interest rate for 48 month. The interest rate for 48 month term should be about only 1.9%! He has not run my credit yet. My credit is in the 800s. I told him this.

I just texted sales guy about the below. Hoping the below was honest "mistake". Hmmmmm.

I seems like you are really getting jerked around.

It might be worth going to Granger near Des Moines (see the thread here).

6% under invoice. They are my plan B. The only reason I'm trying to buy locally first is because I know how 'testy'/grumpy dealers can get about performing warranty service on vehicles they didn't sell. Otherwise, I would have ordered from them.

I never understood this nitrogen scam. Air is already 78% nitrogen. If it is included like at costco, fine but $300 to get that extra 22% is obscene.
Yur preachin' to the choir!

I mentioned Costco by way of showing that nitrogen cannot be that expensive if they include it for their low $16 M&B price per tire.

It does make a noticeable difference. Even CR confirmed that, it's just not worth $300 (as you said), or even $30, IMO. It's nice to have the pressure stay a bit more stable, but it's not that big of a deal.

Presumably no credit application has been filed, thus the dealer can't offer you any interest rates.

They can list examples for monthly payment calculation purposes, but that's subject to credit approval and the rates offered by the lender you go with at the time of purchase (such as Ford Credit's promotional rates).

This doesn't mean anything. You're getting yourself worked up needlessly.

Ah I see thanks. Was getting a bit paranoid I guess ?

I will know soon whether I'm going to buy-out my current car I'm leasing...

If so I'll end up with bronco sport 2023. I wonder if they will have more interior/exterior options in 2023 for the bronco sport? Probably not I guess seeing that they didn't for the prior year.

I have a shirt that I wore to this dealership when we went and ordered our BSBL that reads "Hold on a minute I need to overthink this!" I haven't bought from them in a while but when we decided on ordering our Baby B I went to many dealers in AZ (I have bought from many) and all but this one wanted to add ADM's and not honor A/Z plan. I had been communicating with them and asking all the questions she has noted before actually ordering, I am an over analyzer and under committer on EVERYTHING. We signed our order form with Z plan pricing (sales guy did not sign) without a deposit and still have an option to opt out when it comes in. I don't know the salesperson she is dealing with, but I know the reputation with this dealership. You are in good hands if you choose to go forward, worst case scenario you order, it comes in, they make you feel uncomfortable and you walk away no harm no foul. You are the only one that controls your life, they cannot.

Thanks again for your reply! I do tend to overthink things ?

I'm all set to order the bronco sport but I might end up buying out my current car I'm leasing instead since I'm dealing with some health issues... so I might have to do that and then just get the 2023 bronco sport with them a year from now ?

I also am about to sell a 2020 Mercedes but a GLB250 4Matic. Not sure of your packages. But my Benz is getting offers for $42k trade from a few different places. Your buy out of $27k might be smart to do and then use car as trade. Bet a dealer would offer $33k. Right there you end up $6k ahead on the Bronco.

You just... put air in it. Air is already ~78% nitrogen, ~21% oxygen, the remainder misc. So if you put normal air in, you're just diluting the nitrogen, NBD.
You are correct. I missed making my point that you would be diluting the amount of nitrogen in the tire. Thank you for making that clear for me.

FYI as models get older manufactures have tended to delete some items. If they are available it would be as an additional expense. Doesn't usually go the other way.

Especially now with the chip and other supply chain struggles, features are likely to disappear, with nothing added until a refresh or new model.

I just bite the bullet and placed order! ... that sales guy just placed order for the BS BL... I did not sign anything at all though... not even the below paper (not sure if that was stupid or not but....)... sales guy just placed order for BS BL in AREA 51 color and I got email from Ford saying "your order has been confirmed... then it says my FIRST name and MIDDLE name". It doesn't show my FIRST and LAST name... weird how it left out my LAST name entirely.

IF I'm messed around with once vehicle arrives at dealerhsip in few months... then I will simply buy-out my current car I'm leasing. So now it's up to the stars what happens!

Since my chicken brain can't confidently make up my mind whether to buy-out my current GLA... I decided to "wing it" and just throw something... I don't recall what the saying is LOL... but whatever happens happens. I give up ?

Throw caution to the wind... the h*ll with it. That's the saying ?

Idk why you can't just place order online if you are sure of what you want.
One thing I did notice in my short life of buying new cars, somehow if you find a car on the lot with the same options somehow it's cheaper if it's ordered by the dealer.
