Lots of bugs on windshield due to hood design?

The bug guard really does work. Last year I did two road trips from Seattle to Yellowstone. First one I ran out of washer fluid twice from clearing them off constantly. Second time after installing the hood protector there was a huge difference in the amount of windshield splatters. Though the hood and crossbars were absolutely covered, it absolutely did it's job deflecting them.

After first installing it I wondered what the little bump was for since I originally bought it for hood protection, its nice that it doesn't need to be very tall to do the job.

Yep something about the shape and aero means a lot more bugs hit the windshield than in other cars I have driven. Dont have the aeroskin deflector thing, but definitely thinking about it for long trips

Anyone else feel lots of bugs collect on windshield? Shape of hood? I have never had this many bugs on my windshield in any other car/truck I have owned.

I have the bug guard and it seems to help, although I wouldn't say the BS is significantly worse than other cars I've owned. BUT, the full-size Bronco is the worst I've ever experienced (we have both.) It's awful!

It’s because of the angle of the windscreen. Jeeps, big bronco, fj, Honda Element, etc. all have same issue.

I think the grill gets more bugs than the windshield, the BRONCO letters are the last thing the poor bugs see.
