Notes:
Ford deleted the AT&T Hotspot (AT&T 4G LTE WiFi Hotspot) Modem in 2022 for certain vehicles including Bronco Sport. There was no impact to FordPass Connect because FordPass Connect uses a separate modem.
The terms WiFi and Hotspot are often confused because both WiFi and a Hotspot help a user access the internet. WiFi is a technology that allows for wireless communication, while Hotspot is a hardware device that provides a point of internet data access.
The AT&T Hotspot (AT&T 4G LTE WiFi Hotspot) modem device provides an access point to the internet and provides WiFi inside the vehicle using AT&Ts 4G LTE data service to access the internet.
