Key Pad options

I currently have a 22 Badlands and have became accustomed to leaving key fob inside and use keypad to lock/unlock. Actually the day I bought it sales rep showed me that wonderful feature and here almost 5 years later I have not once removed the key from inside.

Anyway, Im looking to upgrade to a 2026 but the ones I find on lots do not have the keypad. I thought I could buy one without and order the B pillar flush keypad like is on my current 22 but have been told it cannot be added and only option is to go with the cheesy cheap looking surface mount, and Im finding cost to add on is double the factory 190$.

Could someone explain my options and where to buy and if I can do it myself?

We just traded our 21 Badlands in for a 26 Badlands Sasquatch and are very happy with it so far.
The changes we have noticed:
No garage door opener on the visor.
No cell phone charging pad.
No door opening keypad.
Rear seat headrest don't fold down.
Here is the part number for the cheesy key pad: https://www.ford.com/product/keyless-entry-keypad-p4000193030 Easy to install and is basically a remote opener with 3m adhesive.

Ford capitulated and is offering the classic flush mount on certain new models

was a dumb decision to remove

I didn't like the idea of sticking the keypad on the driver's door and several members suggested hiding it inside the fuel door.

Yes very dumb also dumb to delete charging pad and garage door opener, all 3 options very useful and valuable to me. What else baffles me is deleting option for the black and tan interior which I have on current Badlands. Stupid you can get on lower model Outerbanks. Why in the world shouldn't you be able to get premium interior on

Yes the stick on cheesy keypad is self installable - also cannot replace batteries so is a throw away item whew it stops working

Are you sure about not being able to replace them? That sounds ridiculous even for the dumb ass Ford people that keep deleting features we bought the vehicle for in first place. I may not buy another Ford, thats sad after being a loyal Ford owner for decades.

I love our Bronco Sport but Ford sure does seem to make a lot of boneheaded decisions.

Are you sure about not being able to replace them? That sounds ridiculous even for the dumb ass Ford people that keep deleting features we bought the vehicle for in first place. I may not buy another Ford, thats sad after being a loyal Ford owner for decades.

The lack of a replaceable battery in the cheesy cheap looking surface mount keypad was mentioned by several owners on this forum that bought one

My service tech said the batteries ARE easily replaceable. Carefully pop the panel off the bottom and you can access the batteries. (Even though it clearly states in the instructions they are not.)
